i think they do 300k. i think boxing people are curious to see how manny handles 135 and all the mainstream knows is the diaz is a CHAMPION at lightweight. diaz seems like a decent guy and i'm happy he's getting a nice payday but i want him to get smashed for beating erik. i think it could've gone erik's way and a belt at 135 would've been a great way for that legend to end his career.

someone mentioned donaire-montiel or a khan fight. i want to see nonito donaire get some more airtime i think he's more skilled than manny. i'd rather see chavez jr.'s progression over khan's though! i want the boy to live up to his fine pedigree......

It won't get 300k. Pacquiao has spent more time trying to fend off Marquez than hyping this fight. Most of the buys will come from Pac Man fans, and that won't be too much anyway.

casual fans dont really follow weight classes nor do they even follow belts. you'd be hardpress to find a casual fan that knew trinidad moved up in weight to challenge Hopkins. they just know names and Pacquaio is certainly a name now.

I mean look at all the big fights. Some have good undercards, but the crowd hasn't arrived yet.
Think about when you are at a party watching the fight. People are messing around until the main event comes on anyways.

The problem is Diaz. Not many know him. And those that do, are like which Diaz again?

I will say around 300k and that's all because of Pac.
Yeah you are right but, when I go to fights I get there when the first fight starts , thats about 5-6 fight before the PPV even starts and then maybe 3 on the PPV. Like I mentioned before"maybe on another thread" There are times when the undercard is better than the main event. Or let's say Mijares and Arce did a rematch It would pull More Mexican viewers than lets say Diaz followers. That's why I wanted to know if there are any fights on the undercard already.

Unless they get some names on that undercard, it will do no more than 220K's at the most. IMO

yeah but when they promote or write about the fight people will say manny is fighting the "lightweight champion" david diaz which will generate a little more interest. not a lot but some interest.

Most of my friends watch UFC and don't really follow boxing but they said they order all pacquiaos fights so ya he def is a name I wonder why UFC fans like him so much maybe cause he doesn't have a style and is wreckless?
