Should Cotto/Margarito be held in NY or Vegas?

You would be surprised ... Margarito's following isn't THAT great....I went to see Margarito vs Gomez and the lil theater in the Planet Hollywood (old alladin) wasn't even filled..I would say Chavez jr had more fans there than Margarito. Viloria also0 fought as did Calderon and I'd have to say Jr. had the most fans...I could tell by the Masses of people waiting to get in line to take a pic with him. Since that theater is made where Everyone has to come out the front and Margarito was the last fight the crowd waiting for him was about 30 to 40 people. That is why IMO Margarito is too much risk for the profit and why fighters were ducking him, Because of his not so great following.

if its the arena then its about 6000 people and the paid attendance for that fight was 5309 so not bad considering he still was largely an unknown until he beat Kermit prior

I think the fight should be held in Chicago

Chicago has a large mexican and rican population. I think the atmosphere the fans would provide by rooting for there respective fighters would add excitement to the fight.

When I am watching a fight on t.v. I always enjoy it more if the crowd is loud and evenly match with supporters for main event.

Sounds good because the atmosphere would be explosive, but we all know that the fight will take place in NY.

It was about a lil over 2 years ago so you might be right. He probably does have a bigger following, at least I hope. He's going to need it no matter where he fights Cotto.
