All I was saying is that his opinion is his opinion. Thats what it is. Don't tell me to go to another website when I have 9,000 posts and have been here consistently since 2004. I think you got me wrong, don't be so quick to judge people. I'm actually real layed back and easy to get along with as you'll learn in the future...
Hopkins: "I Destroy Careers, Calzaghe is Next!"

But back on topic: yes, it's very su****ious to back Hopkins in this fight. If Calzaghe said he'd never lose to a black fighter, then continued to back up his statement for three months, arrived at ringside in Klan gear, etc., I would not back him to win. Only Wlad Owns and PBDS would still support him.
There are many posters saying publicly "I don't co-sign what Hopkins said," but behind their back they have their fingers crossed and say to themselves "he better not let us down and lose to that whiteboy."
With that said I have a good idea of who is like that and who isn't. Never did I say they're all like that, I only said they make me wonderComment

The fact is Hopkins can't pretend that 160-HW isn't filled with very good white fighters, many of whom would kick the ever living **** out of him. So for him to say in 2008 that a good white fighter is some kind of exception is ridiculous.Comment

Hopkins does say some very ignorant things.
He is ring smart, but if he was at school he'd be in the special class, with the other special people.Comment

The countdown for this fight was really good, i actually like hopkins's chance in this fight, i think there is a chance he can parry, counter and clinch calzaghe down into a low output tactical fight, and i dont think calzaghe can win a chess match with hopkins.
Having said that, Calzaghe UD is still the most likely outcome.Comment

the comment was over the top and out of line, it was meant to hype the fight. the reason this **** is still news is b/c ppl wont let it go and talk boxing.
another thing is that there is no doubt hops will win this fight. there is no reason for him to fight joe at this point, he could've retired after tarver or wright. its crazy how ppl think joe is going to be "too much" for hopkins. at age 44, hops wouldn't have taken this fight if he had thought he was "övermatched." matter of fact, when has hops ever been "in over his head" in the ring? NEVER. bottom line is he took this fight b/c he sees something he will be able to expliot, and use to his advantage. as a hopkins fan, the mere fact he took this fight tells me everything i need to kno.Comment
