I would not say that white boxers dominate the sport. But, they (i am White) sure have a better footing than before this decade began.

I wouldn't say it in seriousness either, only as a bit of internet hyperbole.


The fact is Hopkins can't pretend that 160-HW isn't filled with very good white fighters, many of whom would kick the ever living **** out of him. So for him to say in 2008 that a good white fighter is some kind of exception is ridiculous.

I didn't make a generalization about anyone, except to say that a certain class of individuals make me "wonder."



But back on topic: yes, it's very su****ious to back Hopkins in this fight. If Calzaghe said he'd never lose to a black fighter, then continued to back up his statement for three months, arrived at ringside in Klan gear, etc., I would not back him to win. Only Wlad Owns and PBDS would still support him.

There are many posters saying publicly "I don't co-sign what Hopkins said," but behind their back they have their fingers crossed and say to themselves "he better not let us down and lose to that whiteboy."

With that said I have a good idea of who is like that and who isn't. Never did I say they're all like that, I only said they make me wonder

Seriously, I hope Bernard goes strong for this one. As Disciplined as he is, I really don't see how Hopkins can lose.

Bernard just needs to stay active and not be afraid to let his hands go. Thats assuming Bernard's chin can still hold up and his body and brain won't fold when the slaps come. Which, I think Bernard can withstand and handle fairly well.
