Alfonso Gomez - wasnt even good enough to win the contender.
Shane Mosley - last seen at Luby's eating with his senior citizen's discount. more washed up than a pair bell bottom jeans.
Zab Judah - Floyd left over who went downhill after Floyd spanked him
Oktay Urkal - bum who was picked from a Volkswagen car factory
Carlos Quintana - protected bum who got lucky with Williams
Paul Malignaggi - 1987 camero driving pretty boy who coulndt punch his way through a sheet of kleenex with 2 butcher knives in his hands
Gianluca Branco - sheepherder from italy. no one knows him. no one cares.
Ricardo Torres - protected bum who almost killed Cotto.

wow. that TOTALLY gets you a shot at the greatest ever.
While I think that Mayweather beats Cotto your reasons suck some major **** here.

Gomez: No, not a fantastic fighter, but a solid fighter who has beaten decent competition. No shouldn't have been challenging for a title, but it keeps Cotto busy while Mayweather is out fighting the Big Show or w/e.

Mosley: All time great hall of famer and even being washed up if you will say (which he is not and he will stop Judah I bet), is still better than 95% of the fighters out there. Was a 3X world Champ.

Zab Judah: Baldomir's left overs but was once the undisputed champion of the world. Knocked Floyd down, rocked Cotto, beat Spinks and is a good fighter. Was a 3X World Champ.

Oktay Urkal- a very rugged fighter who gave Kostya Tszyu a fair bit of trouble. Was a mandatory defense.

Quintana- By NO MEANS protected, he fought ****ing Cotto, Julio and Williams for ****s sake. He beat the **** out of Julio and Williams, and even landed some good shots against Cotto in the first 3 rounds and it was even for about 3 rounds. Is a World Champion.

Malignaggi- An exetremely tough, talented fighter with lacking power, has rebounded since with three good wins. Is a world CHampion.

Gianluca Branco- an alright fighter who has only ever lost twice to world class competition. Clearly not an amazing fighter, but a good one.

Ricardo Torres- Huge puncher with decent skill, KO'd Holt. Is a world champion.

Cotto has also beat N'Dou, Pinto and Bailey. All good fighters (1 undefeated and two former world champs) at WW Cotto has a better resume than Floyd.

Floyd has beat two welter weights. Judah and Baldy. Judah was coming off a loss to Baldy. Baldy was the linear champ, so that counts for something, but these wins are clearly insignificant compared to Quintana, Urkal, Judah, Mosley and Gomez.

      LETS KEEP IT REAL PEOPLE
GOMEZ-beat gatti(it was a big deal when mayweather did it?)and was an obvious stay busy fight which "money" has had tons of.

MOSLEY-if he is a senior citizen what makes oscar any different?

ZAB JUDAH-he was "leftovers" when he fought floyd too still a great fighter any one who wins a title in multiple weight classes is world class.

OKTAY URKAY-he was cottos mandatory opponent for a reason.

PAULIE MALIGAGGI-pure boxer who was undefeated until cotto broke his face and has since gained a world title

CARLOS QUINTANA-only loss was to cotto by devestating 5th round knockout and has since then gained a world title by UNANIMOUS DECISION over paul williams, nothing lucky about that.

Gianluca Branco-true welterweight who was never knockout in 45 professional fights and was beaten into submission in cottos first welterweight fight.

RICARDO TORRES-was an undefeated knockout artist that cotto took on short notice was tested heavily and still KNOCKED HIM OUT.

if thats not impressive to you then maybe, just maybe, you are in denial.

      VIVA PUERTORICO.
