While I think that Mayweather beats Cotto your reasons suck some major **** here.
Gomez: No, not a fantastic fighter, but a solid fighter who has beaten decent competition. No shouldn't have been challenging for a title, but it keeps Cotto busy while Mayweather is out fighting the Big Show or w/e.
Mosley: All time great hall of famer and even being washed up if you will say (which he is not and he will stop Judah I bet), is still better than 95% of the fighters out there. Was a 3X world Champ.
Zab Judah: Baldomir's left overs but was once the undisputed champion of the world. Knocked Floyd down, rocked Cotto, beat Spinks and is a good fighter. Was a 3X World Champ.
Oktay Urkal- a very rugged fighter who gave Kostya Tszyu a fair bit of trouble. Was a mandatory defense.
Quintana- By NO MEANS protected, he fought ****ing Cotto, Julio and Williams for ****s sake. He beat the **** out of Julio and Williams, and even landed some good shots against Cotto in the first 3 rounds and it was even for about 3 rounds. Is a World Champion.
Malignaggi- An exetremely tough, talented fighter with lacking power, has rebounded since with three good wins. Is a world CHampion.
Gianluca Branco- an alright fighter who has only ever lost twice to world class competition. Clearly not an amazing fighter, but a good one.
Ricardo Torres- Huge puncher with decent skill, KO'd Holt. Is a world champion.
Cotto has also beat N'Dou, Pinto and Bailey. All good fighters (1 undefeated and two former world champs) at WW Cotto has a better resume than Floyd.
Floyd has beat two welter weights. Judah and Baldy. Judah was coming off a loss to Baldy. Baldy was the linear champ, so that counts for something, but these wins are clearly insignificant compared to Quintana, Urkal, Judah, Mosley and Gomez.
