The wierdest thing is that a year after that film was made Joe knocked out the 1992 Olympic Silver medalist and future HW champ Chris Byrd in a middleweight tournament!! How the **** did he not go to Barcelona!!! I think the Telegraph online has a piece about Enzo saying it was down to politics in the Welsh ABA at the time, they must be looking like a proper bunch of ****s now
Yeah I read in his autobiography that they wouldnt let him have a box-off to get to Barcelona, they just refused him and let some other kid from Cardiff who didn't end up getting far at all.
don't forget to watch Des Lynam with Joe tonight on Setanta if you's have it. Saw on the preview, I havnt seen Joe give a more relaxed interview, usually he's more aware of the cameras and that.
