This fight was not a robbery. I had it a draw but I can definetly see 7 rounds to 5 for dawson. 8 round to 4 is pushing it imo since johnson won the last 3 rounds.

Everyone knows a robbery is when the guy you wanted win drops a close decision in his own hometown, particularly when all of the judges are from 20 minutes from where you live.[/sarcasm]

If you didn't keep a scorecard and just figured Johnson won because of how many times he had Dawson hurt, then you can maintain that Johnson won big and was robbed.

Dawson fought well and was boxing and scoring points. While he was almost out in the 10th, he did come on in the 11th and won that round. I can point to 6 rounds where his quicker hands and combinations earned him rounds clearly.

I scored the fight 115-113 Dawson, but you could also make the case for Johnson winning by those same scores. It all depends on what you favored more. That isn't much of a swing, really.

I understand how sentiment could sway people's feelings. Who didn't shed a tear for Glen Johnson after his post-fight interview? Johnson has been a real hard luck fighter but that doesn't detract from Dawson's accomplishments.

To call Dawson-Johnson as a "robbery" is to categorize it alongside Casamayor-Santa Cruz or Whitaker-Chavez. Was it really on that par?

Put it this way, if Johnson got the decision, Dawson's fans would've cried robbery as well. Then, who would be wrong?
add that to the fact Johnson had him hurt, its understandable for people to feel Johnson was robbed.

I didnt see the first 4 rounds, so I dont know.

I thought CD dug deep and fought back like a champ when he was hurt. that impressed me more then what GJ did, BECAUSE I EXPECTED GJ to do as well as he did..

I was more wondering how CD would react late in the fight if he were hurt.
