      they dont compete in professional sports just like cubans who are also communist,unless you defect that is. but they compete in amateur sports. in 2004 olympics in fact south and north korea marched as one republic.

            That's crazy though that they put aside the're differences to march as one republic, but the dude's question was countries. Are the two republics combined a country? So they are one country in amateur sports and two in professional sports. The boxing we are talking about is professional.

              Yeah , but you got to take into account champs like Buster Douglas that were there breifly, and other Champs like the Ruelas Brothers that are "american" born but considered Mexican, there are a lot of these types of champs putting the USA WAY ahead of #2 Mexico

                      When germany won the world cup back in 1990 they put it as west germany, and in the record books to this day it still says west germany.
