North and South Korea are two different countries, so you're data is either incorrect or they forgot to state whether it was north or south.
I don't know the exact reason for the technicality...maybe there was some champs before they split?... I do know that in other sports lately they have called them Korea also....????????????
looked it up and North and South seperated after WWII. So there was a champ before they split

If this is the case "Korea" will no longer have anymore champions. They will either be south or north korean. Or maybe they just call the south koreans "Korean" because i'm not sure if the north koreans compete in sports due to their communist government.
