Cotto-Margarito too good to be true: which guy will pull out?

I've seen two threads now, one saying Cotto will pull out and one saying Margarito will. This fight is way too good to be a reality and it almost seems like SOMEBODY is going to find a way out.

I don't see any way Margarito pulls out of this. It will be his biggest payday ever and he almost missed his chance when he lost to P-Dubs so he's got to take it this time around.

I hate to diss Cotto by saying so, but for some reason I think he'll opt out of this one. I don't know why, but he's got a lot more to lose than Margarito with a potential clash against the Mayweather-Oscar II winner and Margarito is a tough nut to crack with his style. Like I said, I hate to say so since Cotto has no track record of ducking anybody or making excuses. I just hope we're wrong and this thing is signed, sealed, and delivered ASAP.

Margarito isn't known for ducking fighters, he always talks about he's the best, it would be ****** for him to miss out on the fight of his life, and if Cotto were to win this fight I think he should and would be ranked #1 WW so it wouldn't make sense for him to pass on this either. Only reason either one would back out is if they truly thought they were gonna lose IMO.

Exactly. I hope that thought doesn't cross either's mind. I don't think Margarito has ever gone into a fight thinking he could lose. If Cotto convinced himself he would beat Mosley, then he probably hasn't ever worried either. FIGHT!

I was thinking the SAME thing!!!!

Someone is DEF gonna get injured in camp, the fight is just to perfect.

But Cotto wants Marg, and Marg REALLY wants Cotto so nobody will be pulling out.

IF anybody does it'll be marg because he has Clottey as his mandatory, and he might wanna keep his title in order to make Cotto-Marg worth more

The fight is signed man. Cotto has no reason to bail.

Cotto went from always being the guy who said: "..I'll fight whoever my company wants me to fight, blah, blah.." to jumping on the issue of Margarito "..Margarito blew his chance.. Margarito had his chance to fight me.." Ok, not only is that a huge contradiction and reversal from a guy who never talked about fighting, or not fighting anyone, Cotto has said this now on at least 5 occasions that I can recall in the last few months.

                    Interpret that however you choose.
