Ate? Ate? Cotto hardly ate those punches. They hurt him, and they were high on the head off-target, and they weren't followed up with anything else. Cotto was allowed to recover in every instance. You think Margarito is going to let him recover?

        Cotto gets hit with uppercuts.

Tony loves throwing uppercuts. Hell he throws everything including the kitchen sink.

Cotto's chin will get tested for real this fight folks, because he will be dishing out, but also absorbing a lot of punishment.

I hope Cotto is the favorite.

Margarito is obviously bigger, got a great stamina and fights every second of the fight. He also got the chin.

Cotto is a much more polished fighter, he is also quicker and seems more fluid in the ring, he can also take a decent punch, especially if it is not a flush shot that he does not see.

I think if Cotto does not spend too much time trying to hit Margo with everything but kitchen sink and goes in and out like an asian man's **** in an old hooker's ***** he can do it.

It is also very important for Cotto to use his bodypunching to slow down Tony for later rounds, since Tony seems to be somewhat of a slow starter, but once he gets his thing going he is relentless.

If Cotto does not do all these things I think Margorito can and will **** him up.
I agree, it would take a great deal of elusiveness. Basically Cotto would have to pull off what both Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley turned down 8 million dollars to try and do, and Cotto is not at this point actually quicker than Mosley or Mayweather in a sprint. Forget it.

It would take perfection to survive Margarito's onslaught for 12 rounds. Not impossible, but highly difficult. Realistically, Cotto is in deep **** if he gets tagged. No bull****.

Margarito looks good against people who stay infront of him. Cintron looked good when he was boxing, but lacked clinching skills to save time. Also looked one dimensional.

Yea Cotto has a chance. A good one if he plays it smart. People think about Cotto's chin this and that. That's all people have against him. Cintron was taking his shots good, untill the body shot came. People say Cintron has a suspect chin aswell.

Tony isn't getting any younger, and all that damage he taking will get to him soon.

If Cotto fights smart and doesn't go there and trade with Margarito he will pull out a 116-112 ud over Tony

If he goes there to slug it out and not BOX, i think Tony can hurt him, either way, it's gonna be one hell of a fight but i see Cotto winning a ud 116-112(or maybe 115- 113, close decision)

I think people felt Cintron had a suspect heart. His chin seems ok.

This is a real hard fight to predict, it really could go either way but of course I gotta give the edge to my boy Tony. I think if both men were to exchange blow for blow, Margarito takes this fight, stopping Coto. If Cotto chooses to move around the ring and "box" Tony, it could go to the score cards favoring Cotto.

Tony is tough as nails and if Cotto were to hit him on the chin, Tony ain't going down, if he chooses to go on the inside Tony will have the advantage because I feel he has the edge on that department. I cannot testify how strong Tony's mid section is since I don't know if he's ever fought a guy who can throw the mean body shots that Cotto throws but if his midsection is as strong as his chin is then I don't see Cotto hurting Tony the same way he has hurted others in the past.

In conclusion, yes I think Tony Margarito can surely beat Cotto, but it will be a test of wills.

Margarito can't beat Cotto. Cotto's handspeed is too good, has good foot speed and is a decent counterpuncher. Cotto isn't going to stop Margarito though.

What Cotto doesn't do that Margarito took advantage of with Cintron is back straight up. Margarito is most effective when he forces his opponents to back straight up. If Cotto can box him from angles, he can win this fight.
