What question didn't I answer? I'm not sure what I did to offend you, that wasn't my intention, but if you feel the need to extract revenge by making me "look bad", so be it.

You asked me if I was implying Margarito ducked Miguel Cotto for someone like Paul Williams. I said I don't know why Margarito pulled out of the fight, only that he pulled out.

You also asked me what do I think occurred? Again, I didn't know what occurred.

That's why I asked you what you thought occured. For me it sort of the defeats the purpose of excercising exploritative thought and free expression to direct quote everything. In many cases both sides can present plenty of copy to illustrate their argument, but what happens to common sense? Something gets lost in the process with the politics of media.

When I read the ESPN interview I didn't believe Margarito when he said he fought Williams instead of Cotto to retain his belt because if he would have beaten Cotto he would have just got another. To be honest until you mentioned it, the thought of back-room politics over at Top Rank didn't even enter my mind. That's why I was asking for specific details when you said Top Rank. I wasn't looking for proof, I just wanted to know your reason behind saying it.

This has to be the worse fight for magerito to take he will get stopped or uded or even a split if hes lucky.
Cotto breaks bones and makes people look different magerito takes to much punishment thats his style but he cant do that with cotto he just hits to hard.
Hes more technically sound so he wont be caught ****** but he does have chin problems but has heart to make up for it and power.
magerito wil either pull put cause of a injury or arum wil be a **** and look after magerito's health and not make the fight happen.

As I understood it, Margarito's contract w/ Top Rank was coming to an end. The Cotto fight was signed for June 9th 2007. Goosen and crew won a purse bid that was set up by the WBO for the Williams/Margarito fight in like March of 07. Tony would have gotten a bit more for the Williams fight, plus he would have kept his WBO belt had he won. Arum sued Margarito for breach of contract. I think he also sued Goosen and co. The settlement was that Margarito would fight Williams in July 07. Cotto would fight Judah on the June date. Also Margarito re-upped w/Top Rank. If Cotto AND Margarito won, then they'd meet in the fall of 2007. Cotto won his fight and Margarito lost his. The rest is history...

What you are saying is not accurate. Margarito has been desperate for the spotlight, desperate for paydays, for years. He would have sacrificed that belt in a hot second. He's been chomping at the bit. Bob Arum encouraged Tony to take the mandatory with the promise of a big fight later, in the near future. Arum made the strategic call and he pulled all the strings.
