I think a Hopkins-Calzaghe 24/7 would've been great, probably better than the other two.

      exactly.

It was floyd mayweather jr's idea to do a 4 part series before fights.

So thats why you only see it when he's one of the fighters.

I think unless HBO gets Floyd's permission to use 24/7 for other fighters there would be a big legal problem.

It's like wondering why the BIG MAC is only at McDonalds but not Burger King...because its McDonalds idea; burger king couldnt use it also.

and thats pretty much the same idea here.

A Cotto Margarito 24/7 would be boring as ****.

Hopkins Calzaghe should have had one and Mosley Judah probably should have one too considering that is gonna get like no buys lol.

          did you his last fight?

Why is Hopkins-Calzaghe on WCB and not PPV..... #1 it's not 2 athletes in their primes or at the top of the game. 2, Calzaghe wouldn't sell any.

Mayweather's had the 2 biggest fights in the past few years.

Hopkins-Calzaghe 24/7 is not worth it from a business standpoint.

The fight is on regular HBO. Sure you can get better ratings from the money spent to produce 24/7, but it's different than PPV sales. An extra 100,000 PPV buys is an extra $5.5 million in revenue.

For some reason, I thought with the overseas outlets, it really did a lot more. I can't claim to know how much the actual viewership was, but I believe the 800k is just a us number.

And then you got cheapos like me watching it at a party with 50 other people..and sports bars selling it and paying those licensing fees.

              Plus the sopcast folks.

DLH does seem to win the PPV wars no matter how little he fights or how irrelevant he really is

Floyd's crazy ass family was the drivin force of 24/7. Without the Mayweather clan the show wouldn't be the same. I would like to see one on Nard and Joe C though.

it old 850k IN AMERICA. If you add the UK ppv sales it sold 2.2 million ppv buys. It's just another pathetic attempt by 25 to downplay how major Floyd's fights were last year.

And this concept could be a colossal bore if they keep doing it.
                      It seems pretty formulaic.
Look at them train. Boy, they train hard. Look at them struggle, look at how they got where they are. I will win. no, I will win.
Look at the good family men they are...blah blah...

They have to have unique stories and some high drama to get these things to work.

Otherwise, this concept can get played out, and fast.

Or they could just have Roger Mayweather on every 24/7 regardless of who's fighting.
