I was saying that in the few times he actually charged forward were all the times he got dropped by Pacquiao. And yes i have boxed before. When throwing lead power shots, even if you are going to get countered, if you manage to land first you take out some steam out of the counterpunch and buy yourself that split second of time to be able to get your guard up and back into position. The reason Paquiao is more successful at it than any other fighter in the game right now is because he is very unorthodoxed and throws the lead left from really weird angles and positions that you wouldnt think you'd be able to throw that kind of shot from if you were standing right in front of him. Also Pacquiao's hands are so quick that a good portion of the time he lands 1st, throwing off the timing of the counter. Which is why even tough Marquez kept countering, he never hurt Pacquiao whenever Pacquiao lands 1st.
I am relaxed.... I just write like this just like Samuel Jackson talks in a weird way...lol

Anyway, I agree with you, but in all seriousness, counterpunching is akin to waiting for the tide to come in... If PAC doesnt come forward, theres no offense in terms of JMM.... And, the very FEW times JMM stood and traded was NOT in JMM's playbooks and he was quickly made aware of that after he found himself on ***** street 4 times....

If anything can be said regarding JMM is that he is the most DISCIPLINED of the three (JMM, MAB, EM).... It is difficult to stay within the confines of your strategy when you're getting dropped like a bad habit by the same damn punch.... Most people would just say **** it and start trading shots, but unlike EM and MAB (1st fight), JMM keeps his cool and continues his backpeddling and counterpunching..... But, this "safe" way of fighting is unworthy of praise and should only be given to fighters that take chances and put their heart and soul on the line...

Its hilarious actually, cuz EM already provided the blueprint to defeat PAC.... The one to back PAC up can win ala Tyson vs Holyfield.... Instead, people just try to "box" him... You box a slower opponent not someone quicker than you.... PAC will be beat someday and I guarantee you it will be someone that consistently backs him up....

Well after X amount of years training it's really hard to go against your muscles memory and break away from your "bread and butter" that got you to the dance. It's a testament to Pacquiao's discipline that he was able to box as much as he did in the 2nd fight instead of charging forward like the typhoon he is used to being. I dont blame Marquez for countering his way against Pacquiao but I agree with you about the best way to beat Pac will be to back him up. Same exact way you would beat Margarito, but it's easier said than done.

Anyway, this is all academic....The point of the matter is, what other fighter throws the same **** all the time and his opponents knows this but still gets dropped???? That one two...That straight left hand lead.... What other fighter has the courage to do that knowing they'll be countered??????? I dont know if anyone here boxed before, but when you throw leads with your power shot, that pretty much means two things....One: you are ****** and you are looking to get knocked out by a counter...OR, TWO: you have much heart and have a whatever be damned mentality....

Were not talking about pot****ting and dancing around like a ballerina (aka Mayweather), we're talking about left and right hand leads thats intent to putting you down, which PAC does time and time again.... Imagine JMM having the courage to do this.... Instead, we're seeing him backpeddling like some kind of dance and given opportunity after opportunity to counter..... The funny thing is people say damn, PAC got hit alot by Marquez counters beautifully..... Of course PAC gets countered because he's always the one throwing first..... Let JMM throw right hand leads and what do you think will happen???? No need to answer, purely rhetorical.....
great post! couldn't have said that any better... i dont see any people in marquez' defense arguing over any of those facts haha

Now that we know what the bums in boxing think. And since when did backpeddling become dancing around like a balerina? I thought it was all part of the sweet science? I thought most of the "all time greats" did that in a large amount of their fights. I probably just dont know boxing though. Any way this.....Espinosa: "Marquez Will Never Beat Pacquiao".....Is pretty funny, since about half the people feel he already did, twice. Me I feel both fights were too close to establish a sure winner.

Espinosa represents the other half including me that believe Pacquiao won both fights. I agree with the statement that Marquez will never beat Pacquiao. Dont get that confused and equate that with stating that Marquez doesnt have the skill to do so because he does. But like Nycbigdog said, the way to beat Pac is to back him up. No matter how much Marquez would like to do so his chin will always fail him. And if you fail to stuff Manny's attack, then he will keep coming forward and punish you for it.

My response to this article is Pacquiao will never convincingly beat Marquez either.

He will if Marquez is actually foolish enough to follow through with going for the knockout in the 3rd fight like he keeps insisting he will.

you have the nerve to call a world champion a bum and worship someone like panchito bojado.

i dont know if you were born then when Louie went to Mexico and exacted revenege on Alejandro Gonzales and broke Mexico's heart. I think that was like a decade ago so yeah you probably wasnt born then.
