It's funny how defensive people get.

When Floyd toyed with Gatti, a very over matched opponent, it was extremely impressive. Same goes for what Cotto did last night.

And remember Gatti was supposed to do to Gomez what Cotto did to him but it was the other way around.

LOL. Gatti was favored in that fight. But in no way was he supposed to do what Cotto was.

Gomez was +205 for the Gatti fight.

He was somewhere in the area of +650 for the Cotto fight.

I know the odds don't mean everything, but they can give you a good idea of what's "supposed" to happen.

True it was a mis-match, and yes it was to keep Cotto busy with a fight so that he can fight on the same night as Margarito,

He didn't had to much to chose from it was gonnna be either Collazo, Clottey (wich could had been a better fight) or Gomez since:

            1. (WBC Champ) Floyd chicken out
            2. DLH don't want to fight P.ricans cuz he could get seriously hurt.
            3 Already beat Mosley
            4.Already KO Judah
            5. Margarito (New IBF champ) is Cottos next victim
6.the WBO champ Quintana already got stop in 5 rnds by Cotto
7.PW got owned and is talking about a remacth with Quintana
            8. Cintron just lost his belt to Margarito
            9. JCC jr? He was afraid of Gomez

Pacmn who lost his intensity because of eating unhealthy filipino foods...needs to be like Cotto and hire a good nutritionist and eat clean year round now Cotto was a damn machine! he looked better then ever dude threw hard and never gassed.

Cotto is the MAN! you better not hate! I like Margarito but damn Antonio has yet to face a short dude who will go to the body with massive power and combos like that....in fact no one ever hits Antonio to the body at all maybe 1 or 2 times a round.

The way to take down a Mexican is go to the Body cause many of them got solid chins.
lol, his new diet helped him win? Maybe because he fought a glorified club fighter.

In all seriousness, Peter Manfredo had a better chance against Joe Calzaghe than Gomez did last night against Cotto.

Cotto went from fighting Shane Mosley, a guy with like 45 fights, to a guy that was like 16-3, a third of the experience. Everybody knew it would happen.

I'm a much bigger fan of Cotto, but I think Floyd has a definite edge in this comparison. Mayweather was moving up in weight and fighting a multiple title holder who had legitimate power. Cotto fought a clubfigher who had eight career KO's.

yup but if you are a defensive guy you can be small look at pernell, if floyd jr fought guys like a WARRIOR mentality like Cotto then he would be knock out like his dad and uncles have been.
