He was impressive, but he did what he was supposed to do. The fight wasn't supposed to be competitive, he was supposed to dominate. Of course he put on a clinic... It was Alfonso ****ing Gomez. Beating down the third place finisher on the "Contender" doesn't make you the most exciting fighter.

And like I said Cleveland Williams was a guy with a gimp leg and ALI put a masterclass on him and many say that was his best performance! but yet how come no one is saying oh come on Williams is a slouch.

COTTO put on his best perfromance who gives a **** who it was against! all I know is that was a thing of Beauty I already watched it 3 times! just looking at him slip, body head, step to the side, stiff jab, counter it was pure top notch and his confidence tops it off.

I will def be ordering cotto vs margarito I dont think Margarito will last on Cotto though, Cotto like to fight ****ers whose body is wide open and MArgarito will have to throw his punches downward which will take some of the mustard off it.

Yeah, in all honesty, Gomez did look like a moving punching bag. Cotto was able to do whatever he wanted with him. He had to be in the ring with Margarito. Ya know what, reverse the fighters in both fights, and you'd have better matched up fights.

Cotto performance was class! He fought a live opponent and showed why he is a step above!

If Cotto had gatti he would of KO him in the first round especially how he just stayed there not throwing any punches letting floyd jr hit him.

Yea i agree people are really underrating Cottos performance last night.

Gomez is a better fighter then that, Cotto just made him LOOK that bad.

Heres a guy in Gomez that has never been stopped, never really been hurt, and has fought with guys MUCH bigger then himself all the way up to Middleweight...

And Cotto just DESTROYED him. Absolutely embarassed him. Very impressive performance. A lot of the experts were expecting a much closer fight then Cotto made it

bunch of hypos on this thread. mayweather gets criticized for fighting oscar, at 154 for crying out loud, and floyd can do nothing right, despite the fact he publicly called out mosley back in mosley's prime and called oscar out back when he was whooping ass at 147 and lower, and they never answered his challenge, and he killed gatti, a bigger man than him, kills hatton, a guy bigger than him, just so happens that he is fighting at a smaller weight class, but when cotto kills gomez, people want to give him a lot of credit, depsite the fact that cotto fought judah, urango, quitana, and whoever else, but he gets praised, by people on here, not everybody, i respect posters like devious for posting what he did, but the others on here make me sick.

Honest to god....I mean I saw the numbers, gomez landed 68 punches but did it look like nothing that Gomez connected with even effected Cotto AT ALL? It didnt even seem like Cotto got hit. At the end of the fight he looked like he was just done sparring. He was only sweating LOL. Gomez was being demolished by absolutely everything from Cotto, and Cotto wasnt being touched

COTTO is entertaining and Fight hard! and wants to finish thats the difference! thats why he gets credit! its the same for ALI when he finished off williams, cleveland williams was a bum but ALI schooled him doing all the tricks in the book and then some! Floyd jr pitty pats to a UD with C level guys.

and the hatton vs floyd jr fight was floyd jr only exciting fight.
