    Cotto VS Margarito

Tony, what is there to say that hasnt been said? (And no, I'm not going to say he's the most fearrrrred guy in the known galaxy) But he's tough, a throwback bad ass.

Cotto, lol the fame's gettin to him a lil bit huh? lol Tryin to look cute and put a lil hop in his step, lol kinda gettin douche-baggish in there. I'm not even gonna lie, lol that was weird as hell to see. But he's ontop of his game at this very moment, and give Arum some credit for waisting no time in makin a fight with Tony happen.

And even though he was completely outclassed, props to Gomez for finishing without gettin counted out.

    "You want to continue?"- Doc

    "Hell yeah"- Gomez

lol ****in Alfonso, dude has nuts that can only be cracked with the jaws of life.

    Now..Tony vs Miggy.

A fight fans dream come true. And no surprise, it's Margarito and Cotto steppin up the fight game another notch. Tony will fight anyone, no bull**** comin out of his mouth. Miguel Cotto, will take on anyone that's placed infront of him, no bull**** games comin out of his mouth.

It's really no surprise that these two men are the ones that save, and put the sport on their shoulders to make happen, what is SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN...Unlike that supposed P4P best, whos name shouldn't even be mentioned in this thread let alone when discussing whats holdin this sport down. That supposed P4P best, is gradually becoming yesterdays news anyways. lol **** em, leave em in the "yesterdays." Cause right now, lol Tony vs Miguel is lookin mighty good.

As for the matchup, all I'ma say right now is......"upset." Tony can pull this off, the only downfall of that, (I know I said I wasn't gonna mention his name, but this is just a undeniable and predictable outcome) is the fact Floyd Boys and Floyd himself are gonna be the first to use a loss to Margarito as an excuse to TAKE AWAY (with their ****in rat claws) everything Cotto has accomplished. Not only that, even if Cotto does lose to Tony, Miguel is still beyond, BEYOND capable of handin Floyd an ass whoopin.

But Floyd deep down knows he can't be Miguel. He said it himself when asked about fighting Cotto. "Ima retire from the sport, not gonna let the sport retire me." Which really translates too, "Im not gonna fight Miguel, cause I know I can't beat him, and I want to retire with my precious goose egg on my record." lol...Scarey ass.

Anyways, Tony vs Miguel IS the fight of the year right now.

It'll be a good fight. Hopefully neither one has to get stripped of his belt to make the July fight happen, but even if they did it's still the fight to see who's boss at WW while PBF is ****in around wit DLH again.

I'm still not sold on Margarito. Kermit just ****in sat there and let himself get hit. He didnt move around, move his head...or put his hands up to block maybe?

Margarito is a tough dude, but he lets himself get hit too. He won't be able to have the same fight against Cotto who's a lot faster and a better defender now.

It should be a good fight, but expect a good 2 months of "Margarito will beat Cotto" threads for the next 2 months (Sheeeesshhh).

I think Margarito can pull this off, but reguardless. This fight is beyond a great matchup.

lol As for the Margarito threads, what you gonna do? The guy has fans. I mean atleast Tony fights people, so his threads will discuss fights as oppose to those rediculous excuses why "he's not fighting." lol you know?

margarito - yo he took some BOMBS from cintron! for 2 rounds i was CONVINCED that he was going down, i made brash, pot-brownie induced bet there on the spot with a buddy that he would lose - so i'm out 50 beans this morning.

anyway, people like old gringo, mic and myself always knew cotto was an extremely poised boxer from the get, hearing lampley say **** like "he has vastly improved the jab" ... que? look at the vic sosa fight and just pull tape from his amateur career and you'll see that THIS cotto was just put on the shelf for a while.

he looked the class last night.

margarito / cotto - i got my boy circling and just pasting him with jabs and crosses until hes afforded the opportunity to do downstairs and take him out - margaritos chin was something.

cotto was a total jerk-off in the ring, he fought like he wanted to skip out on work early on a friday-but the real low came in the form of margs begging cintron to get up, preeeeeeety low.

This won't be the war we are all hoping for.

Margarito is slow and plodding. Cotto's got speed and quickness on his side.

He'll stay outside and box his way to a UD. I don't think it'll even be close.

Man why CAN'T a thread about OTHER FIGHTERS not include Floyd, as a matter of fact you WROTE more about Floyd than you did about the actual Tony and Miguel bout, pathetic.
