way off, lets put it this way, 7-5 comparatively 8-4 is 1 round. Just 1 round difference. I dont think 8-4 was proper, but 1 round the other direction saw it a draw at that would've been fair as well. I asked Bernstein and he said he thought it was a draw and he said that press row scoring for them had it a majority draw or decision for Dawson he couldn't remember. So while 8-4 is off it isn't waaaaayyyyyyy off. 9-3 would be. And the fightne.ws guy had it 117-111 for Dawson and that made him very unpopular with everyone.

fair enuff. by waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy off, i meant for each judge to have seen it 8-4. watching the fight, there is just no way to have chad winning THAT WAY, unless you were just intent on giving him rounds he didn't win convincingly. i heard max kellerman say something very true a while back, and that is "ppl are scared to score rounds 10-10 nowadays." if a round is that close, and neither really does anything to take it, or 1 guy does something, and the other guy responds, nothing wrong with a 10-10 round. if you've actually got to sit and think "man, who won that round?" it should be 10-10. maybe the judges gave most of the close rounds to dawson........

but like i said, i think the right man won, but you really couldn't argue had it gone either way. hats off again to glen johnson. he made it very compelling, and after the first 2 rounds, it looked like he was completely overmatched, and would get completely outworked.

im going to put it this way, Dawson/Johnson was the best Light heavyweight fight involving elite light heavyweights we have seen a more than sometime. An absolute battle of back and fortha nd spectacular ebb and flow. Neither man should've been booed. GREAT FIGHT
