I agree, but there is no possible way for all 3 judges to give Dawson 8 rounds unless there was something fishy going on. A draw or 7-5 either way, I could see.
That is a FLAT OUT LIE. Dawson WON the fight but the decision was much closer than what the judges said. The decision WAS NOT the bad, so stop spouting that bull**** you foolish dolt.

100%............ i thought chad clearly won like 4 or 5 rounds, and glen clearly won like 3..........there were a bunch of rounds that were really close, and i one round an even 10-10. i even gave glen johnson 10-8 for that round hed had chad hurt bad (round 10 or 11), but even with that, and the even round it would've been hard pressed for glen to get the decision. first of all, glen can't any1 but himself, he had the ko, but he didn't go for the kill. second of all, chad completely outboxed glen the whole fight, glen ;anded big shots here and there, that kept the fight close. i agree with one person who said chad showed a lack of intelligence, this could've been an easier fight for him had he just potshotted, and moved the whole fight as glen couldn't keep up. bad chad needs to learn to keep his hands up! best fight of the night, the right man won, but i agree not by such a wide margin. chad definitely won the fight, but hats off to glen for making the **** competitive, b/c the first few rounds it looked like chad was going to beat the **** outta him.
At ringside 20 of us polled each other and we were split 10 for Dawson and 10 for Johnson. I had Dawson 7-5. rounds 1,2 were clearly Dawson, then he gave up his height and 3,4,5 were Johnson. round 6 saw Dawson boxing and moving and fighitng in spots and he did that for 6,7,8,9. then rd 10 Johnson almost KO'd the kid, but Dawson did fight back and stun Johnson along the ropes right in front of me to salvage only a 10-9 loss in the round. then round 11 the only close round from my vantage point was a great round which Dawson and Johnson were trading right hooks but Dawson would throw a follow-up left and that won the round for him on my scorecard and then I though Johnson clearly took round 12 but 2 of the 3 judges gave it to Dawson. I had it a tough and very exciting 7-5 Dawson.

exactly..........there were a lot of rounds that went one way or the other, depending on who you saw winning it, very close. like i said, johnson should've finished the fight when he had the chance, but he let up, and allowed chad to gain back a little momentum b4 the end of the round. i DO think the judges are waaaaaaaaaayyyy off in their scores, but i think the right man won. its horrible for ppl to sit here and say the kid "stole" the fight.

way off, lets put it this way, 7-5 comparatively 8-4 is 1 round. Just 1 round difference. I dont think 8-4 was proper, but 1 round the other direction saw it a draw at that would've been fair as well. I asked Bernstein and he said he thought it was a draw and he said that press row scoring for them had it a majority draw or decision for Dawson he couldn't remember. So while 8-4 is off it isn't waaaaayyyyyyy off. 9-3 would be. And the fightne.ws guy had it 117-111 for Dawson and that made him very unpopular with everyone.
I mean one of those rounds had to have been a 10-8 round right? Dawson was on the brink of being stopped at least once. I was shocked when I hear 116-112 instead of 115-112 more than anything.
At the end I saw Johnson as the better man, but knew Dawson could have won 7 rounds. So I didnt blink twice at the victor, just the wide scoring.
It should've been closer then then how they scored it, and I don't think there will be a re-match. Johnson doesn't bring the market value that a fighter like Johnson would want and he is older. Overall I'd rather have seen Dawson win, so he can go on to unify the belt
