lol Glen obviously doesn't know whats going on. If Glen had won the fight he would of faced the winner of the Adrian Diaconu vs Chris Henry fight, but since Chad won he will now face the winner of that fight. And what Glen also DIDN'T know was that the fight between him and Dawson was very close to being canceled, if it weren't for Don King.

I had the fight even and would love to see a rematch; based on this Diaconu would be very very live against dawson, and Diaconu-Johnson would be FOTY stuff

Nah, we need Diancou and Zsolt for the Battle of Berlin.

Wonder how Zsolt would do against Diancou.

I guess that promoter Gary Shaw's future plans for Dawson-Tarver had nothing to do with such an outrageous decision. I guess a grizzled old vet like Johnson just didn't fit in.

I myself am not 100% certain that Johnson won(I had it 115-114 Johnson), you could certainly make an honest case for Dawson to win but to say there were 4 rounds difference is shocking, truly shocking.

As for Woods-Tarver, as a Brit myself, i was truly disappointed. I thought that Woods could pull out a big win against a marketable name but i was wrong. He never got to grips with The Magic Man. I hate to say it but Tarver was too good. When's the last time he put in a performance like that?
For me, it was maybe even a better performance than the Jones fights.

Clinton Woods is no bum but Tarver made him look very ordinary indeed. Even though i don't like the guy, i have to take my hat off to Tarver. He's definitely back in the mix now.

Good COmments re the scoring, the closer rounds come down to how you appreciate a certain style of fighting, the Johnson Dawson fight appeared to be a round one way or the other depending on how much weight you gave to the man coming forward vs the man boxing well on the retreat, in either case there was not thrr or four rounds daylight.

As I have said before, it was rather ironic that the English Judge (from Woods's own county, not just Country) gave it to Tarver by the most realistic margin on the basis of actual punches landed, the other guys seem to give closer rounds to woods by merit of him going forward and leading with his face

Dawsons path was not cleared by him the blind judges cleared it. I guess they figured hes young and giving it to Johnson would be pointless.

guess we didnt see the same fight. dawson put 5/6 in the bank early and clearly won 2/6. a few rds that were close I gave to johnson on GP. The margin was sad but the decision was on the mark.

Why did you count the punches that chad dawson landed on Glen's gloves?

May piss a few posters off but FI. Im tired of watching these euro fighters come across the pond to get there asses schooled. is it that hard to travel a few thousand miles a week prior to the fight and be at ur best? WTF! Is there really that big of a difference in skill level that these guys cant acquire a win in the states? Lets step it up Euro, the currency is up while the fighters are down!

not pissed off just confused, Glen is West Indian fighting out of the US, so you must be talking about Woods. In Woods's case he does lack the skill of an elite fighter, he's got through tight matches before with his heart, but looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Joe C is a totally different animal, maybe he will break the trend? we've only got a week to find out
