Tarver and Dawson Clear a Path to Each Other

By Cliff Rold - When he packed his suitcase to cross the Atlantic, the U.K.’s 35-year old Clinton Woods (41-4-1, 24 KO) of Sheffield, Yorkshire brought his passport and his IBF 175 lb. belt. For most of Saturday night at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, he forgot to bring some fight. [details]

I want to see a rematch against Johnson since Johnson clearly got robbed. Johnson now knows he has to ko Dawson to beat him since boxing is corrupt.

**** always happens, I thought Nate Campbell was going to be robbed against Juan Diaz. Now this dawson **** happens, this ****s bad for the sport. I had ppl over tonight watching that fight and everyone was screaming at the tv when that stole they **** from johnson. Chad dawson has a bs resume now, because he has lost. He is not an undefeated fighter

For the 3 judges to give it Dawson by 4 rounds each was an absolute disgrace. IMO Johnson clearly won the last 3 rounds, so are we to believe that Bad Chad was ahead by 7 points going into round 10?

I guess that promoter Gary Shaw's future plans for Dawson-Tarver had nothing to do with such an outrageous decision. I guess a grizzled old vet like Johnson just didn't fit in.

I myself am not 100% certain that Johnson won(I had it 115-114 Johnson), you could certainly make an honest case for Dawson to win but to say there were 4 rounds difference is shocking, truly shocking.

As for Woods-Tarver, as a Brit myself, i was truly disappointed. I thought that Woods could pull out a big win against a marketable name but i was wrong. He never got to grips with The Magic Man. I hate to say it but Tarver was too good. When's the last time he put in a performance like that?
For me, it was maybe even a better performance than the Jones fights.

Clinton Woods is no bum but Tarver made him look very ordinary indeed. Even though i don't like the guy, i have to take my hat off to Tarver. He's definitely back in the mix now.

Lefty vs lefty fights don't usually turn out good (except Kelley vs Gainer or Hamed), but this could be a decent scrap if Tarver has it in him. But I say it was more Woods bein garbage than Tarver doin anything spectacular. But I'd rather see Glen get a rematch. Dawson shouldn't have been so ****y in his interview.

                The Johnson-Dawson fight

I can't let this go by without pointing out a couple of things, which can easily be confirmed.
                1) Over 80% of the viewers believed that Johnson won-as do our posters.

                2) In the published scorecards facsimiles, in my opinion, the figures and signatures look as if they've all been written by the same hand.

                boxingscene.com published the scorecards.

Clearing a path to fight each other? NOT! Chad MUST fight Glen again. This is the real fight that boxing fans want to see. The first fight was great but the decision obviously went to the wrong man. Just listen to the crowd. Before the fight Chad got the majority of cheers and after the fight he received almost a standing ovation of BOOOOS! Chad like Tarver knows he wants no part of a rematch with Glen. These two can fight but I know I won't be watching that debauchery.

Exactly, ****ing ****** I didn't even think it was super close like someone ppl on here claim. I had it the opposite way around with Glen winning 8 rounds to 4. Glen was clearly picking off Chads punches and Glen was landing more each round.
