People said the same about Hatton, they were talking about Margartto until Margarito got his arse roasted by Williams.
Personally I dont see why Cotto should even be in the same ring with Floyd, how much money does he bring. There is money in the Oscar fight and money in the Ricky hatton fight.
Cotto is dull and boring,he doesnt have class but is damn stupi. He keeps quite at press conferences and forgets that fights need to be sold.He needs to learn how to be a business man and then Floyd will give him a shot
U have lost all credibility on this board from this post. Can somebody please ban this guy on the grounds of ******ITY AND NUTHUGGERY.

Horus, we all saw what happened when Margarito went WELL out of his way to call Floyd out. If interupting his press conferences, and asking him to his face "why wont you fight me" wont get Floyd in the ring, what makes u think Floyd will take his panties off once Cotto literally calls him out?

Even if Cotto calls him out like these people want, Floyd will simply say that he won't work with Arum. And that's an insurmountable obstacle. If it isn't, Floyd will find another one.

While Floyd Mayweather Jr. fiddles, the loaded welterweight division moves on without him. Now, the stage is set for the biggest showdown the 147-pounders have to offer: Miguel Cotto vs. Antonio Margarito.

Mayweather has never shown a desire to fight either boxer, but Cotto and Margarito have a history of fighting top opponents. Now, they'll fight each other.

Neither seemed particularly concerned about Mayweather -- especially not Cotto, who, when asked about Mayweather, quipped, "I'm a fighter, not a promoter."

Floyd is just a money fighter now," Steward said. "For welterweight fights, you can't get better than Cotto-Margarito. These are two rough guys and I can't wait to see it."

Floyd is claiming that Cotto is isnt a big enough ppv draw. He said that he wont work with Arum. He said that he wont fight Cotto until Cotto becomes a CEO. He has NOT said that he wont fight him due to Cotto's reluctance to literally call him out. So what makes u think Floyd is holding out for Cotto to call him out, when he has already listed the reasons above for reasons why he is not interested in a fight with Cotto?

It makes sense calling out Mayweather when he's set to fight Margarito.

I truly now feel in my Heart Cotto doesn't want the fight, when Larry ask him about the fight... You could see in his face that he had no intentions to offend mayweather in anyway.... Dude doesn't want the fight....

Cotto is putting himself in the position where he can called out floyd...
                  and he Doesn't do it..

When Floyd put himself in the position to call out Oscar, he called him out..
When Hatton put himself in the position to call out Floyd, he called him out..
When Pavlik put himself in the position to call out Taylor, he called him out..

Now when Cotto is starting to put himself in the position to call out Floyd, he doesn't do it... Now Like I said Before I think the fight should happen after Cotto gets that other belt.. and That Will be the perfect position to call out Floyd...

But the point is that the challenger always calls out the Champion, when does the champion ever downgrades himself and calls out a challenger..
NEVER.. No self respecting Champion Does....

Cotto's needs the Call out Mayweather...
Because That's the way it goes...

Mayweather is at the top, he is in the position to respond to Credible challenges, Not to look for them...

And So Far Cotto has not Challenge him...
The only people putting stipulations on this match are Mayweather and his fans, why? When did this become a valid argument as to why this fight is not happening?

In case you missed my earlier post I'll ask you again.

What do you suppose is going to happen if Cotto calls him out? Do you honestly think Mayweather is going to drop his big money rematches with DLH and Hatton?

Cotto said he is willing to fight anyone his team puts on front of him. Mayweather said he doesn't want to fight Cotto. So in order for this fight to happen, who's shoulders does it fall on?

I believe (or I shlould say REALLY HOPE) this fight happens. Right now with all the bull**** w/ Arum and Floyd, and not to mention the other fights that look like they have to happen first (Floyd/DLH, Cotto/Margarito) we won't see this until 2009. That being said, Floyd you're ****ing 31, not 51. It's a shame to here a guy who says he's the all-time best talk like he's above it all and doesn't have anything else to prove. "Let them come to me, I'm the man". Bull****. Floyd, think back to the greats of all time and ask yourself if they would say or do what your doing. This is THE division right now and you have a lion in the middle of it who looks like he will be the best when all is said and done, not to mention the other huge names in the mix. Look at next Saturday. Hopkins is 43 and fighting Calzaghe. Think about that. Wake up Floyd. 2009 should produce this fight. I'll be patient. If it doesn't, Floyd you're naturally gifted and one of the best, but never will you be THE best in my mind. Later.

Why should Mayweather have to be called out to fight his biggest challenge? That's one of his many bull**** excuses. Bottom line, if Mayweather said he wanted to fight Cotto, the fight would be made today. If Cotto calls out Mayweather, the fight still won't get made, so why should Cotto bother calling Floyd out? Let Floyd do his own thing, Cotto has other **** to take care of.
