no. he can survey his opponent without switching rightie to leftie back to rightie without even engaging. he's doing it with a swagger too. looks like showboating to me.
I was actually impressed how easy Cotto did this and the way he BOXED and brawled,he looked fast tonight, the fastest ive seen him,i think he wanted to,just like he said,he wanted to show he can box if he wanted to

I concur with your previous statement.
It's one thing to watch a flashy boxers showboat a little and bounce around. Seeing Cotto do it isn't the same to me. He should stick to just knocking people around the ring.

Watch nearly every Cotto fight,he ALWAYS switches right to lefty, hes a natural lefty, thats why i said he fights similar to Hagler, they switch stance sometimes

It's easy to look fast against somebody as slow as Gomez... especially when Cintron and Margarito were on the undercard.
****, two turtles ****ing might look fast in comparison.

no. i know that. that's not what i meant. if you have dvr look at the 1st round and some of the 2nd round again. i know he switches from right to left sometimes a lot of sluggers do because they get squared up. i'm talking about when he backs off from his opponent and switches it back and forth and back again before he even engages again not while they're fighting. kinda remind me of how roy and floyd backs off and walks away from their opponent and seem to turn away from their opponent.
