One of his closest friends and training partner died in a car crash this week and he was young. Woods didn't seem to have his heart in it tonight. Woods is flying back for the funeral this week.

        That explains it.

He wasn't his normal aggressive self tonight, but he's shown lots of heart in past fights. I thought the Florida heat and humidity was causing him fatigue, but being distracted by his friend's death makes sense.

I think there are some Brits praying that Hopkins-Calzaghe doesn't look like that. THE HORROR!!!

Why does it always come down to insulting the country of origin???

            For ****s sake grow up.

Tarver fought a good fight, boxed cleverly on the back foot and Woods did not assert his style onto him, hence the right man won. Lets not get carried away with lauding the win becuase it was a poor fight, but Tarver was and always was the better fighter.

The real talking point should be the home decision given to Chad Dawson who ran for 12 rounds and still won by four rounds?

Tarver fought well and deserved the win, Woods will be disappointed in his effort but the real loser last night was Glen Johnson.

I agree with everything you said. The Euro **** is all in good fun. I was boozed and lost a 150 bucks on the fight. And Johnson got ****ed.

Tarver fought a lot better than I expected. Woods wasnt game at all though. I'm not sure what to think.

Tarver looked slow, old and tired and still whooped Woods ass. Why? Because Woods never fought back. He was a walking punching bag. I gave him one round. ****ing disgrace.

Clinton Woods is still being overrated as usual. He lost because he is an average fighter who is hyped up to be something great.

And I don't need to listen to that funeral story, that usually motivates ppl to do good when they lose someone close. Just like buster douglass did when he fought tyson. Clinton Woods is the same joke who thought he could compete with the likes of Calzaghe. Calzaghe probably would have floored him hard

I actually thought he would beat tarver and was suprise with what i saw, Woods has improve alot in the last 4 or 5 years so to see him put up that half effort was a bit disappointing.
