      Disagree.
Khan would need MORE than two years, if his record of opponents faced
is ANY indication of what'd be up. More of the same would be more of the
same. Maybe a well-deserved shellacking by Nate would teach him a thing
      or two as 'prep'.

Pac by KO middle rounds anytime between now and 2010, even withstanding
      a putative Hatton bout preceding.

agreed. he has the physical tools to do it but to say so right now before khan has fought anybody of note or proved himself at a professional level is premature. besides we haven't seen manny proved himself at 135 either but david diaz is a hell of a first step.

i think people are saying in two years or so because they think manny will be done in two years. i say by next year or so to be honest. he's showing signs of slowing down to me already.

and as one-sided as some of his victories are he's been in a lot of tough fights that wear on you. he totally beat down larios but it was still tough. the 1st two morales fights were very tough. even dominating a guy like velazquez wears down on you because of how naturally bigger hector was. he looked like a lightweight or super lightweight when he fought against manny! (the guy must cut 20 lbs. before he fights)

But do you think Pacman will actually retire on top?? or try to be king of the mountain for as long as he can and wait until he loses 3 out 4 before he retires??

              hard to tell.

i think he's already passed his peak to be honest with you. the 2006 pacquiao was the best he'd ever be but if he can put on a show at 135 who knows?

he depends on his speed and power. once the speed has slipped and he can no longer carry his power at the higher weight classes i think he should retire. but hard to when there's so much money to be made.

as a big manny fan , i'd have him fight david at 135 for a belt , fight joel for the lineal belt or fight juan diaz if juan can get his titles back from nate or casa's lineal title , rubber match with juan manuel marquez , and either have guzman or valero move up to 135 and challenge him or make a big money fight with ricky hatton if he can win belts at 135 for his goodbye/retirement fund fight. that's what i want. manny and his handlers might have other ideas.

Khan ain't ready. He's got titles and money in his future but right now Pac would smoke him.

Pacman should fight Guzman. Guzman would definitly whop his ass.

yeah i'd like to see that fight. i think guzman can box manny better than juan manuel marquez can. i don't know if he'd "whoop his ass" though. we don't know if guzman can handle manny's left as good as marquez can. i know marquez gets a lot of heat from manny fans about always getting knocked down but he recovers well and how many fighters at 122-130 can handle a flush left from manny?

guzman needs a major fight to get his name out there or else this fight won't/can't happen. there's just no demand for it no matter how good the potential of the fight is or the skill level of both fighters.

Barrera started as a hard hitting brawler but became a master boxer which extended his career. Pac has already begun the shift from brawler to boxer
