With that said, I don't think Cotto will be a challenge for him though. It'll be jsut another fight, but I could be wrong.
agreed I am not all that outraged that he isn't fighting Cotto anytime soon either. Would I like to see it? of course but there are enough matchups at welter to keep the intrigue going and allow Floyd to pursue his Sept rematch with Golden Girl

The bold is how I feel about the outcome of the PBF vs Cotto fight. But with all that said Cotto should be on deck next for a fight after the De la Hoya fight. No way PBF is going to turn down that money and I can't blame him.

Best of alltime is always subjective and IMO SRR will forever remain that.
p4p is just oppinion.yes to most people floyd is the best boxer but to many cotto is the best welterweight

sorry some of us wont be able to make that statement until they fight, but think pbf would defeat cotto.

i don't think he should fight Hatton agin though. It was good fight and all but it wasn't really close at all. But who I'm kidding I would still buy it though.

If he beats the winner of Margarito/Cintron and Gomez impressively. No doubt in mind, it will happen. Because then people will really look at him as a threat. And some may even look at him as true WW king if that happens.

Like someone said earlier, y'all overlook the fact that floyd is coming from super featherweight! He conquered the super featherweight division by defeating the legend that is Genaro Hernandez and defending it against a prime undefeated Corrales (RIP). At that time NO ONE did anything close or could even fathom doing anything close to what floyd did to chico that night. He also beat a PRIME Castillo, a focused Zab Judah, a focused but dated ODLH (who had everything in his favor from gloves, weight, ring size, to ref). And knocked the **** out of the LINEAR JWW champ Hatton. What the HELL do you guys mean he hasn't fought anyone?!? Those are former and Current REAL CHAMPIONS (linear) and hall of famers

it's opinion based on logic and reason. To some, a handful think cotto is the best WW, I don't know about many.

I disagree for two reasons (on the styles you are on the spot)

                      1) Cotto's resume is not even close to Hagler's (or Leonard's) resume.

                      2) Hagler and Leonard were both past their primes when they fought.

With respect to the two points above Hearns-Leonard is a closer comparison, both prime, and Hearns had a much weaker resume than Leonard when they fought.
