that's the right attitude coming from cotto,
i wish every fighter thought like that, keep busy big names will come,
he is fighting 3 times a year, that's hard work right there,
he is making cash and has the potentioal to clear the division with the exception of margarito

Maybe junior witter should of said this about hatton a long time ago and thought about making his own career.

i agree with everything u said except u got one thing totally wrong. cotto will destroy margarito. cotto has just as much power, is far smarter, better skilled, just as well conditioned and throws much straighter and faster punches. margarito got schooled by Williams who was exposed by Quintana who Cotto destroyed.

Quintana, Cotto, Floyd, Williams, Mosley and maybe even Judah would all school margarito. i can even throw Clottey in there because he beat Margarito, they were just protecting their investments.

Not to mention Cintron is going to beat margarito tomorrow on April the 12th.

Margarito was so over rated and feared for nothing

That's good to hear from someone like Miguel Cotto.

See, cotto never said he doesnt want to fight him; he said he doesnt want to chase him and i can respect that.

                    Who would?

Ricky Hatton had to talk trash about mayweather and bring his name up after every fight and in every interview; etc. etc. etc.

To be honest with you Cotto really doesn't need mayweather; yet.

Eventually Cotto will need mayweather. no ways around it; he IS the head of the welterweight division and is the p4p champion. trust me; cotto needs him somewhere down the line...even if he goes on to beat every other big welterweight the talk (in the future; should he keep winning) will be, "cotto has turned into a one of the best fighters out there, but...he never fought mayweather".

                    so eventually yeah he will.

but right now he still can fight cintron/margarito (the winner of that fight), and either go for williams or wait to see who wins the rematch (between quintana/williams). etc.

I mean he really has beaten some of the best 147lb fighters out there but he does have a few more he can fight...

cotto is doing the right thing in my opinion.

Mayweather The Best Ever (against hand picked opponents)

Mayweather is the greatest boxer ever. (Against hand picked opponents.) I marvel at his skills and talents. (Against hand picked opponents.) His defense is so tight he stays so calm.. (Against hand picked opponents.) I wonder sometimes if anyone can beat him. (Against hand picked opponents.) When its all said in done Mayweather may stay undefeated and be the greatest boxer ever (Against hand picked opponents.)
