the reason cintron lives here is because his father sent him here when he was very young after his mother passed away. also, as was mentioned before, you talk about america as though it only includes the united states... in fact it included, PR, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, Dominican, and all of South America. I hate to break it down to semantics, but there you go. On top of that, Puerto Rico is part of the United States, so it would be like someone saying "im going to bring it home for philadelphia" You wouldnt jump down someones throat for that. nothing wrong with cultural/ regional pride.
and in response to the soldiers protecting his freedom... soldiers havent protected the freedom of the united states since WW2, and that is even questionable because japan and germany werent actually true threats to the sovereignty of the USA. Currently, our troops are merely extending the imperialist hold of U.S.A. Inc. and expanding their sales territory.
as far as taking a "free ride" and they should "go home"... if they are Puerto Rican they are home. as stated earlier, PR's are U.S. citizens from birth.
