Roy Jones vs Edison Miranda

I would not trust Jones' chin against a Miranda punch. Jones could probably go without getting hit for a while, but if one lands that might be all Miranda would need. Miranda has no belt and wouldnt even be the draw while Roy is an established star and legend. I see no reason for Roy to even contemplate this fight.

Yes but if Jones won, he would get much credit.

Jones could win this by outboxing Miranda but Miranda is a very powerful puncher and Jones isn't all that fast on his feet anymore, if Miranda lands one of his big power punches, it would lights out for Jones.

You're right, it's a tough call. It's easy to visualize Roy boxing Miranda's ears off. It's also easy to visualize Miranda suddenly putting Jones to sleep. Unlike Trinidad, Miranda is hungry, in fighting shape, and in his prime.

If Miranda landed a power punch on ANYONEs chin it could very well be lights out, for ANYONE... not just Roy.. so that goes without saying.. This may sound slightly ridiculous to some in light of his two knockout losses 4 years ago... but his chin is unbelievably underrated...

People really think if he gets hit at all on the face he will knock over like a piece of paper in the wind... its just simply not true...

Roys definitely switched his style up... from not hangin his chin out, to a winky type defense, that allows him to see the punches coming in but still block them, and use his hand speed to counter in between your shots...

Although this Roy is a completely different Roy than 10 years ago, the speed has gone down hill, but the tecnique has changed to make up for it in my opinion, and I give him a lot of respect for being able to do that, at this stage of his game.

I say Roy can not only win but possibly KO Miranda who has poor defense.
Accumulation of sharp shots landing on Mirandas chin. Imagine the hype this fight would get? The PPV would do well too, im thinking.

Roy would outbox the **** outta Pantera but he ain't as elusive as he used to be so you can't expect him to go all night without gettin hit flush anymore. Add to that the fact that Roy holds his left low, eventually Miranda would land an overhand right and knock his lights out. Miranda KO.

Yeah but thats why this fight would be so exciting..Roy outboxing Miranda but everyone waiting for Miranda to land a bomb all night..
