Poll: David Haye vs James Toney

Who do you guys have winning this one in their respective primes at cruiserweight? David Haye brings to the table pure knockout power and a great skills set, whereas Toney's fighting abilities are nearly unparalleled in the game, and he enjoys an all time great chin and huge experience.

    Who ya got?

I can't tell you how much i would love this fight to happen. Toney is too old to fight someone as fast and powerful as Haye. It would be a vicious beating.

Well if we're talking prime for prime...I would have to go with Toney. Haye has power but I think Toney would make him look foolish. Toney would be to slick for him and would counter Haye in an interesting match.

Toney was a very smart boxer and some people didnt give him credit for it. He defense is one of the best in the business and he wouldnt get hit that much.(just my opinion)

James Toney. For the record even after seeing the fight. I would still take a prime healthy, not weight drained Toney over Jones, Jr. Even if Toney would still lose it would be a much better fight.

Prime Toney would beat down, then KO Haye.

I definitely agree and it seems that me and you are the only ones that can see that. The in shape Toney that fought Iran Barkley would have a good chance at upsetting Jones. When he would actually fight Roy instead of watching him, then he would be doing great and he would land his right hand counter at will. Even then Jones fought extremely cautious and didn't take any chances.

There is a big difference in shape between the Toney than fought Barkley and the Toney that fought Jones. The Toney that fought Barkley could fight for the full 12, was trim and had great punch output. The Toney that fought Jones was fat, hospitalized and couldn't fight for more than 1 minute of each round.
