OMG... People actually think Pac hits harder than PBF!

Even Hatton said he can feel the difference in the punching power at welter when he fought PBF. This is coming from a guy who took everything Kosta threw at him and Kosta was one of the hardest punchers in the game.

Manny has no chance against Hatton! This is just a money fight!

People said the same thing when Pac went up against Barrera the first time.

Said the same thing when Pac went up against Morales 3 times.

      And they were all wrong.

I suggest don't add yourself to them.

Dude, I didn't say that about those fights. I knew Pac would be competitive against those fighters who were at least in or around his weight class at one point.

I will however add my name to this list! Pac will lose badly to Hatton who never fought lower than 140 and cuts about 30 lbs to make that weight. Manny walks around at about a lil over the 140 weight.

Don't add your name to the list of people who think Pac can compete legitimately above 135. 135 is a big hurdle for him! why don't you at least see how he does at 135 before you match him up against anyone above 135.

          Errr...
Pac walks around at 160+ before training starts.
Still, in case someone's missing the point...

While it's true that Pac has been fighting at around 147+ in the ring, his opponents have tended to be lighter. It's thus not a question of how Pac punches or moves in divisions above SFW, but how much bigger, Pacpunch-resistant and more powerful everyone else is up there. I think campaigning at 135 is do-able only because the division is relatively weak right now.

A one-off at 140 verus Hatton is a good payday, but unless Hatton gets really unlucky on fight night, Pac'll be taste-testing canvas before round 8.

          h.

Dont get yourself confused. Fighting at 140 is definitely a big hurdle for Pacquiao and Hatton will be the odds favorite. But the fact that Hatton burns about 40-50 pounds is the very reason that Pacquiao will be competitive against him. As far as the power goes...yes Hatton noticed the difference in power between the higher weight classes. But to think mayweather has ko power is silly. Just look at all the guys at welter and you wouldnt have enough fingers to count all the fighters that hit harder than floyd just in that weightclass. What I am referring to is that if Pacquiao were the same size as floyd which he would be fighting at 140 then he would definitely have alot more power behind his punches than mayweather

No worries bud! I'm not confused! Anyway you want to slice & dice it fact is Hatton is the naturally bigger man. Hatton is natural JrW & has felt power from harder punchers. Hatton will walk through Manny!

Manny does not hit harder than Mayweather plain & simple!

If Manny does not hit harder than Mayweather then why does Mayweather not have a higher KO ratio on his record?? You could argue that he prefers to box and potshot his opponents into demoralizing submission....but why waste the energy of making a fight go 12 when he obviously has all the speed and quickness and power in the world to counter his opponents into crushing KOs and end fights early. which would be just as demoralizing. The reason is because he doesnt have KO power. He just hits his opponents at such a higher ratio than his opponents hit him that the accumulation over several rounds take their toll. I'm talking about raw punching power. The kind of power that a fighter could be losing every minute of every round through 11 and still be able to walk away the winner in the 12th.

Look, Manny has more punching power than Mayweather at a lower more natural fighting weight.

However, He does not hit harder than Mayweather who has grown into WW. Mayweather dropped Hatton with one punch. Don't you think PBF can KO lightweights? How many lightweights has Manny ko'd? He has 4 ko's at lightweight two of them against Morales the other 2 against b & c class fighters. All of those 6 fighters he fought at LW started their careers lighter than 130.

If your still not convinced we can just agree to disagree.

Hatton ko Pac, too big, too strong. On that weight Pac will feel his opponents punches.
