I think it was. If a man can't respond, you have to stop the fight.

Wouldn't bother him, he's used to it.

WOOOWWWW That was a disgraceful stoppage, YEs am not mexican but COMMONNNNN that was weak..It looks like steele was looking for ANY excuse to stop the fight at that point, He did ask if Taylor was Okay but he didnt even wait for a second or 2 for taylor to respond...with the buzzer light going off right in front of steele He knew he had to stop it...That was disgraceful....I could have swear if it was the other way round he would have let chavez continue the fight.

So you think he would have stopped Chavez IF it was the other way round?

Thats my thoughts exactly, even though it could be considered harsh. Its like someone scoring a goal in a football match (soccer) to make it 2-1 in the last few seconds.

You stop a fight for the protection of a fighter. There wasn't enough time left for Chavez to land another punch, let alone going to the neutral corner and then back across the ring to throw another punch.

When Taylor got to his feet before the count of 10, the fight was over.

He responded by easily beating the count.

I dont even care what time the stoppage happened, The fact that the fighter beat the 10 count is enough for him to continue fighting, He wasnt wlaking all over the ring like he was drunk..He just stayed in his neutral corner calmly...That was a disgraceful stoppage NO wonder people talked about this fight SO much...Nobody seem to want to answer my question..If the fight had been the other way round WOULD steele have stopped Chavez just like that?

All I know is, if Steel would have pulled that **** on Chavez his ass wouldn't have made it out to the state. Hell, the ring! They did Taylor dirty, and of all the fights that I've watched on the past 20 something yr that fight troubles me the most. Give Taylor his 2 seconds. Everytime I saw Steele face after that,
