EXACTLY I agree... Because if you know boxing there is "nothing like a great rubber match in the ring" it doesn't matter if both of the fighters are unheard of. If you like boxing this is a MUST SEE. Does anybody KNOW if manny signed that agreement to the third fight ???Or was that a "verbal agreement"? because the verbal won't hold up in court... Maybe that's why JMM is pressing for documentation that garantees his rematch.

they should fight a third fight, it's only right, manny only has one win over marquez, the first fight didn't prove anything other than pacquiao and marquez are exciting to watch, if manny beats marquez again, he's won the trilogy, if he loses, we get a fourth fight for all the marbles and it's great for boxing, i'm pleased, everyone would be happy with a fourth fight, we don't have enough rivalries in boxing, we do have some, and some recent great ones, but the more the better in my opinion, only if they're exciting, obviously.

i think what arum is doing is bull, i think it's a cop out, they're afraid of other paydays, but nothing is really settled. i'm a fan of both and was rooting for manny in both fights, but i would seriously like to see marquez get a shot since both fights were razor thin. nothing was ever really settled, one point, that could go either way decided both fights..........man that is some bull**** to hide behind really, i think manny should man up and fight marquez, it's a no brainer.

Pac's just fightin Diaz to test himself at 135 and pick up his latest belt along the way. In 2 close fights Pac has 4 knockdowns which gives him the edge when he's otherwise been outboxed by JMM. Since the 1st fight was a draw and the 2nd was close neither guy can really claim to be the better man. All Dinamita has to do is fight Valero, Soto, or whoever else he has to to pick up his next belt at 130 while Pac's doing the same at 135 and they can fight each other again afterwards. Both fights were good so the demand is there already. Marquez don't have to keep raising hell about it.

Marquez needs to learn how to stay on his feet, 2 fights with pac and down on the canvas 4 times.I had the fight 114-113 the knock down is what won it for pac.

let JMM ***** and make a fool out of himself by chasing PAC. look all u ****ers. pacquiao is moving up a weight to test a bigger, stronger, better, faster fighters. what's the point if he fights JMM and beats him again? it will all end up by MEXICANS AND HATERS calling JMM old and washed up if he is again beat. look pacquiao is doing something for himself to be great. he is not going to fight JMM to make JMM a known fighter. just face it JMM is desperate is because if PAC won't fight him he will be in the shadows again that is why he is chasing PACQUIAO like a big **** that just ****ed his ass.

I think it's pointless talking about this with some of these guys...You got to have an open mind about people trying to make a point. Wether you agree or not, the FACT IS 98% of the boxing community wants to see this fight. Get Pac to sign the freaking contract with a max out date , say MAY 09 at the latest. Then JMM can shut his as* up and pac would prove he is determined to fight him again. I swear sometimes I think some of these guys commenting have to be like 14-16 years old....

We don't need to say that anymore.. Pacman should win in their first matched if hadn't the error scoring of one of the judges, and because of the the 3 knock-down rules the points of JMM should be deducted by one-point making Pacquiao the virtual winner! One of the judges and the referee acknowledged this error! Pacquiao immediately asked for an immediate rematch but turned-down by JMM. Now that the ball is for Pacquiao to turn-down JMM the latter suddenly cried that Pacquiao is running away from him.. does JMM did this before? maybe JMM remembered what he did to Pacquiao to conclude this way. Ooopps, JMM said this was the scheme of his former promoter which so happened to be now the promoter of Pacquiao, JMM said, "Pacquiao can make the 3rd fight possible even his promoter doesn't like.." well, well well, what JMM did before when Manny challenged him for another fight? did JMM made the rematch possible even Bob Arum doesn't like it??" Is this the attitude of a great Mexican fighter in the like of JMM when he lost to a good fight??? Well, when JMM turned-down Pacquiao for the 2nd fight, Manny moves on and continued his winning streaks afterwards. JMM should follow what Manny did when he was the same as in his shoes right now.. The bottom line is, I believe there's a 3rd rematch but not now.. maybe after 2 or 3 of Manny's fights before they will meet again! what JMM should do now is to also build his own to make that rematch more interestingand saleable, and refrain from crying!

What exactly are you bitchin about?? Marquez tried to put Pacquiao on the spot by challenging him to a rematch during the interview. But during an interview Marquez was doing, Pacquiao showed up with the contract(produced entirely by golden boy to favor JMM heavily) and pen in hand ready to sign with the condition that Marquez admit that he lost the fight. Marquez didnt want rematch bad enough to do so, so Pacquiao put the contract down and walked away. That should make it case closed 4 this.

                      "Juwanna Man"uel Marquez

                      "Juwanna Man"uel Marquez

A month removed from his closely disputed defeat against current WBC and Ring Super Featherweight champ Manny Pacquiao, it seems that Juan Manuel Marquez is still aching from his heartbreaking split-decision loss. So heartbreaking it is that he has even taken his sob story all the way to his nemesis' homeland. As seen on Youtube, Marquez was a recent guest of honor for the WBO Bantamweight titlist Gerry Penalosa’s title defense against Thai challenger Ratanachai Sor Vorapin held at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, site of the legendary "Thrilla in Manila". Marquez insisted in a face-to-face interview with Pacquiao that he was the real winner and that people around the world knew he won their last fight. Pacquiao to his credit, conducted himself like a classy host and just shrugged his conquered foe's claims and responded with the kind of professionalism and grace many have grown to admire in him. "That's part of the game, there's a loser and there's a winner" Pacquiao responded. Juan Manuel on the other hand was undaunted and took advantage of the hospitable Filipino community who welcomed him as if he was an adopted son and declared to any microphone shoved his way that he was indeed robbed and wants a third fight immediately against Pacquiao. Never did he give credit to the guy who has knocked him down more than anybody inside the squared-circle.

As a boxing and sports fan in general, I can't help but have a bad taste in my mouth. I have the utmost respect for Juan Manuel Marquez, the man they call "Dinamita" in the boxing ring, but after what I've seen from him and heard during the fallout of his "Unfinished Business" with Pacquiao, I have come up with a more suitable nickname for him outside the ring. "Juanna Man": But in stead of a guy playing in a women's basketball league, this Juanna Man is in a sport domineered by pride and bravado but has the heart and attitude of a shameless crying- as one eloquent Gov.Schwarzenegger would say-"girly-man". I can understand how he reacted initially after his loss, but to take his crying act to his rival's stomping grounds despite the welcome and adoration he received from his host, is for a lack of a better word, pathetic. Especially coming from someone who's been knocked down by the guy he is crying to 4 times.

Seeing Juanna Man's display of desperation made me realize how much good there still is in the world. That there's still other decent people unlike him that can accept defeat and concede to diplomacy. I never understood how Barrera and Morales cast such big shadows over Juanna Man. Today however, I understand why the Mexican boxing fans never really cared for this guy back then. It's as simple as this, nobody wants a crybaby for a hero. Barrera and Marquez did their talking in the ring. They threw vile words along the way but you will never catch those 2 valiant warriors beg or plea like a little girl asking his dad for a new Barbi, more so in his adversary's home turf. In boxing, pride is the greatest intangible.

If the Marquez camp thinks this is the way to get Manny Pacquiao to sign a third fight, more power to them. But if I was Pacquiao, I'd let em simmer more to squirm and squeal even longer. Begging out of desperation hardly ever works, especially if you insult the person you're begging along the way. After all is said and done, the scenario is pretty clear. Marquez wants to fight Pacquiao because Pacquiao is that one highlight in his career that gave him some form of validation despite being floored 4 times. Marquez has nothing to lose and little to gain elsewhere. Pacquiao is his payday. As for Pacquiao, the sky is the limit. Pacquiao has the belts, the victories, the bragging rights and the giant worldwide fan base. He has never ducked anybody throughout his career that's why he's on the pedestal he's at right now. The ball is in his court.

Just ask Edwin Valero, Juan Diaz and Joan Guzman what all the childish taunting they did got them? Nothing. Juanna Man should be grateful he's had 2 cracks at the Pacman already. If he really was superior to Pacquio, he should've knocked him out cold, but as it is, he's never even staggered Pacquiao and had him in serious danger of going down other than one hit here and there. If I was Juanna Man, I'd save myself whatever face I still can and wait my turn. Sooner or later his own people will denounce him after such shameless and classless displays of "girly-manness". You can't built a legacy based on cries of robbery.... well actually you can, it's just not going to be a good one.
