Is Chad Dawson overrated?

I'm surprised to see the apparent ambivalence toward Dawson. He's fought some solid fighters and shown a good mix of offensive and defensive skills. The only real criticism I have of him is that he might be chinny. We'll find out on Saturday if he can really do it at the elite level.

Well obviously when you lose to the #1 fighter in your divison, and you're #2,
the #1 goes away.. What happens then?! OH ****! NUMBER 2 GOES UP TO #1!
DAMN! What a ****ing brainer... Even if Kessler was ranked #3,4,5,6 ... He would still be a man people wouldn't fight, and the man to beat. He's a former World Champion, a 39-1 fighter with 29 KO's. Miranda has balls, and so has Kessler.. So now that Kesslers plan about chasing Mundines title died, he should just see if he can get the fight with Miranda and smash THAT overrated prick into pieces.

fair enough but i dont think u should be claiming Dawson is overated when in reallity no one is overating him its not like NSB is full of Dawson threads now is it

listen i like what ive seen from Dawson he looks a fantastic fighter IMO but he has largely been untested againt Top fighters yet but we will get more answers shortly , i am of the same opinion that Kessler still has a lot to prove at 168lbs its okay losing to Joe Calzaghe then claiming to be the best ,u have to prove it in the ring not with words
