So who is the best at 175 right now?
Hopkins and Calzaghe are clearly the front runners right now.

It was hard to determine but i voted for Calzaghe.

Normally Hopkins would be the guy but he is 41 after all and i think his time to hang up the gloves is fast approaching and i belive Calzaghe will be the guy to help him get there.

Calzaghe doesnt have much time left either (both fighters are reaching that time to retire) and after them its a pick em type deal...

there are about 3 other fighters (other than hopkins and calzaghe) who could easily rise to the best light heavyweight fighter within the next 4-5 years.

      Why?????????????????????????????????

I wouldn't even count Calzaghe at 175 yet. I would and did vote Hopkins anyway.

And the majority, 64% on most polls, favour Calzaghe. So if anything it's more reasonable Calzaghe be leading Hopkins in this poll.

calzaghe has a total of 0 light heavyweight fights. he shouldn't even be on this poll. and he isn't better than jones even if he beats hopkins.

Who has the best skills in the division and has the most important belt? Chad Dawson. The WBC is the most important organization and not only did Dawson win it in the ring, but he also dominated another unbeaten champion while doing it.

I laughed at everyone that choose Calzaghe, when he hasn't fought in the division at all and nobody knows how he will react with the extra weight. Its just shows how disrespectful this forum is. Dawson worked his way to the top in the division and a blown up super middleweight that hasn't even fought in that weight class is automatically better? Please, hes not even a champion yet and theres no guarantee that he will get past Hopkins.

                    Who has Dawson beaten?

Adamek was weight-drained for the fight with Dawson, and he's just a B level fighter anyway. Since then, Dawson has defended the title against two weak challengers: Jesus Ruiz, a D level fighter, one of the worst voluntary title defense opponents of the past few years, and Epifanio Mendoza, a C level late-replacement opponent. Now he's ducking his mandatory, Adrian Diaconu, to fight a past-prime age 39 Glen Johnson.

Chad Dawson hasn't beaten anyone, so why would anyone consider him the best light heavyweight?
