I wouldn't agree, after coming off a loss, gbp should make juan a comeback fight b4 taking on casamayor. katsidiz should have been better for him first.

I hate to say it, but Casa is there for the taking right now- and I'm even rooting for Casa if the fight is made. Losing a fairly close fight to Nate Campbell is nothing that should make a guy reevaluate things. Full speed ahead is a good mentality.

a lot of money can be made from fighting juan diaz

I think every since Morales lost and still got the big fight with Pacquiao because of the star and draw that Morales was at the time. This has in turn given other fighters that may lose the same chance had they not lost because of there status before they ever lost, like being treated like they never lost.

And i think this is because your casual fan doesn't follow boxing closely and may only know the fighters that the ppv or hbo may tell them of and they are used to seeing teams lose and may think a lose in boxing is the same, where a lose can break your star status/contender/prospect status and a boxer usally has to start over. But because boxing is not dead, and there is money in boxing and the stars of boxing wheather they lose or not they still get the money fight cause they bring in the money.

Casamayor will not fight him toe to toe.. Him will outbox, counter and move around the ring all night.. Casamayor can also fight toe to toe and play dirty inside..

All the belts in LW are with Don King and Arum.. Golden Boy has only Ring Belt with Casa.

I forgot to add, I think this is a good comeback opponent for Diaz because Casamayor looked like an old fighter at times in the Katsidis fight and I think Juan's style would make life very difficult for Casamayor, especially at this stage of Casamayor's career. Diaz by decision.

Diaz maybe even more suited for Casamayor then Katsidis was for him.

Casamayor isn't going to quit on the stool against Diaz especially when he's taking monstorous shots from Katsidis and Corrales. Diaz has really good defense, but we don't know how he's going to react to a southpaw. Not to mention an "accidental headbutt" here and there could get Diaz really shaken up.

Casamayor loves come foward fighters and Diaz could very well lose.

Awesome. Juan Diaz will bounce back. I am not saying its a come back fight, should be a very very hard fight. But fighters have to get old sometime, Casamayor will look old eventually, and also Katsidis has terrrrrible defense, that is why he got hit with everything casamayor through, Juan Diaz would not get hit by any of those shots, he keeps his hands up. Check compubox numbers, opponent landing percentage is 2nd lowest next to mayweather

People say that its an offense to Campbell. It is i agree, hopefully he can get the winner. But he has to look at it from a marketing stand point. People arent going to pay to go see a campbell-casamayor fight, HBO wasnt even interested in that fight, I am sure they would have got involved if they really liked that fight. In this fight you have the lightweight king for so many years against the guy who used to be recognized as the best lightweight. The winner will solve everything
