Pac most certainly does have a lot left to prove against Marquez. Apart from the knockdowns in either fight Marquez won probably about eighty percent of the rounds very clearly and many people still have him well ahead of Pacquiao in both fights. Pacquiao has the edge but no one can say that their business is finished. If anything, it is now more important that they fight again than it was the first time.
Marquez has been the only guy of late, and he won't last much longer being 34 already, to be able to out-box Pacquiao and win the large majority of each fight only losing because he knocked down. To me, and everyone else...apart from you I guess, that means that a third absolutely must happen because they most certainly have something to prove.
If anything I think Pac has more to prove now than he ever did. He was at times getting very clearly beaten by Marquez and by most peoples account was quite lucky to get away with a win. I think even the most hard-core Pac fans can see that there needs to be a third fight between these two because the last fight just put more questions up in the air and once again showed that Marquez can most certainly, and in many folks' estimation did, beat Pacquiao.
Human? You seem to forget that he has already been viciously knocked out cold twice and nearly a couple more times than that. Though I do believe that if they fight again it should be at the same weight they just fought at. Marquez is getting too old to move up again. He has lost a step and is more offensive now and that would not be the best way to go at Pac after moving up another weight.
After all the concessions he made I do believe he deserves to get the fight, if they ever have it, at his proposed weight. Though that will never happen of course.
Honestly though, aside from all the bitching, Pacquiao bias and Marquez hating, who here would rather see a fight between Diaz and Pac than Marquez and Pac? I know I certainly wouldn't!Comment

JMM was only explaining how Pac's short left got him under the worst
of circumstances: JMM was unknowingly turning to MEET Pac's punch.
I thought it was a pretty straightforward analysis of the KD.
That left wasn't Pac's bread-and-butter haymaker, but it floored JMM
precisely because of JMM's optimized (for Pac's sake, that is)
posture at the time of connection.
Again, I'd like to see JMM go for a KO or KD versus Pac.
A more aggressive attack vs. the likes of Pac will boost JMM's draw
in the future, PPV and general-revenue wise.

It seems, as of late, whenever a boxer analyses his performance, defeat or knockdown it is seen as an excuse. I really don't know why people think that?
I guess boxers aren't allowed to discuss their own fight.

Im not sure why some people say Marquez wasn't pressing the fight when he did so on many occassions. Where he lacked was after he wobbled Pacquiao for the millionth time, he kept taking pictures. Of course after that knockdown im sure he knew he had to be a little more catious but even after he still pressed Pacquiao. Many times he forced Pacquiao to retreat and or forced him to retreat when Pacquiao was on the attack.
Another thing is the only way Pacquiao ko's Marquez is if Marquez is too fat at 135 which can be the case with the extra weight.
Marquez was hit flush by some of Pacquiao hardest shots in both there 1st and 2nd fight and in neither did Marquez stay on the floor. He got up, or never went down from the shot. So to say Pacqiao can ko Marquez after they went 24 rounds is admitting, Marquez is an old faded fighter. If Marquez can stop taking pictures after he hurt Pacquiao he has a great chance to knockdown or ko Pacqiao.Comment

I hope Pac fights other races and stop facing Mexicans.. Mexicans are crybabies and pretenders who always makes excuses on something without giving any credit to someone...Comment

you kow the funniest thing about the 3rd fight is that even though Manny won, pac fans were in full effect trying to discredit JMM because half of the boxing community thought he won.
