    *LATE BELL* in Kahn-Kristjansen!

I raised this earlier in a different thread, but I thought I should make a seperate thread so every1 cld give an opinion on it. After Martin went down for the second time, the screen showed 10 seconds on the clock.

During the broadcast, I noticed that the round was allowed go on beyond 10 seconds.

Luckily I'd taped the fight for a relative, I just checked it there. I counted slowly from that point and I counted 13 at the very least. The important thing is the dane was still standing at the end of the 10 seconds.

The Bell sounded as soon as he was on the floor for the final team.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Perhaps it was because Martin was given extra time to recover given he was hit while being down. I did not, however, see the ref. take the time out and he didnt penalize Khan. It must therefore be the timekeeper who took the time out by his own power which is illegal.

I'm afraid it looks like either incompetence or hometown officiating (german/italian style).

Micky Vann is our biggest homer.

I reckon Ricky Hatton would have a legitimate chance against Floyd if he had him. lol.

      He's an awful ref imo.

Is there a 3 knockdown rule in the UK?

It's down to the sanctioning bodies.

That was for some crappy strap. WBO intercontinental or something.

I'm just saying, if there was a 3 knockdown rule in the fight, it was a correct stoppage.

Yeah I don't know if anyone is complaining about the stoppage.

              The Dane wanted out.

I don't know if there was actually I'm getting mixed up with a fight on the undercard when a guy went down 3 times in one round and it wasn't in effect.

yeah there was nothing wrong with the stoppage, its not even necessarily about the knockdowns (although that obviously helped) it was the volume of unanswered punches that did it, he wanted no part of kahn after the first knockdown. to be honest there was a lot of farting about after one of the knockdowns maybe the time keeper stopped the clock or something. kahn didnt look good in that fight, they say he's a finisher but looked like he panicked to me, smothered most of his own work in the last round

I'm actually not sure if there was...

Even still, my point was Martin went down for the third time AFTER the ten seconds left in the round. I can imagine the bell guy saying '**** it, he's about to go down again, I wont bother ringing the bell'.

:P Only messing...but you never know..
