Popular British Lightweight, and 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist, Amir Khan (17-0, 13 KO) put himself in position to challenge for the WBO’s lightweight belt with a seventh-round drubbing of Denmark’s 30-year old Martin Kristjansen (19-2-3, 5 KO). Whether the island nation’s answer to Sugar ray Leonard is ready to step in with the man who holds that title, American Nate Campbell (32-5-1, 25 KO), remains to be seen. The bout was held at the Bolton Arena, Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom on Saturday night. [details]

I like Khan. Please don't put him in with Nate. It's way too early. Nate would destroy the young man...but if it makes dollars, it makes sense!

Warren doesn't want Khan to fight for the belt just yet, he said he would like him to have at least one more fight before going in for a championship fight...
Kristjansen was far from world class tonight, I haven't got a clue how he is ranked so highly... but when warren and the WBO are concerned anything is possible (for warren that is...)
Khan will find it very difficult with Campbell, and so will Warren having to negotiate with King... States or the UK??? will play a massive factor if this fight comes to fruit.
