    Joe Frazier was a great fighter, as good or better than Ali, but he was quieter and let his fists do the talking. He clearly beat Ali in their first fight,, putting him on the canvas.

    In the late sixties and early 70s he was the best in the world. However, he was never the same after his first fight with Foreman.

      Joe Frazier is one of my all-time favorite fighters. Aggressive, relentless, powerful, and the greatest left hook in boxing history. I do agree with you that loss against Foreman really changed him.

        it's true that his career was defined by Muhammad Ali, but he was a great, great heavyweight that would have dominated other eras

                      I was thinking the same thing. It's not like we're talking about some obscure clubfighter from the past. There is enough info on Frazier to spend a day reading it.
