Hatton lost the fight for himself. He needed no help.
As he had for his last few fights he smothered his own work. Toe to toe is exciting. Chest to chest is dull and allows noone to hit cleanly.
P4P is opinion and Floyd must realise that 2 rematches with beaten opponents will be overshadowed by far more exciting matchups out there.
Careful Floyd! Which will it be; Money or people mentioning you alongside Ali, Robinson and Leonard?
It might already be too late to hit THAT height but surely it's worth a try.

Cortez cost Hatton the fight by making him separate as soon as he got inside and to top it off he deducts a point for no apparent reason. Floyd was the one holding that night, along with throwing numerous elbows, yet he was never even warned.

You will see how much of a difference Cortez made for Floyd when they have their rematch at Wembley stadium with an unbiased referee. Hatton is going to win and that will set up their third fight.

          You're delusional.

Tbh this shoud be a wake up call for Hatton and he shoud realise that if one plan isn't working he should have a contingency plan.

Saying Cortez saved Hatton's life is like throwing someone in a river then throwing them a lifebelt and asking for a medal.

Cortez was the reason Hatton ended up in difficulty when he did.

I am not too certain that Hatton was near to death when the fight was stopped, but I agree that he is simply not comfortable at that weight division at all and therefore does not deserve to fight Mayweather.

The fact that Hatton does a huge amount for African charities should not count for anything when it comes to actual boxing.

He is a truly great World Champion at light-welterweight, but no where else.

Hatton might back to his in and out style of old at his natural weight.

He had to hook and hold at Welter, he was outgunned at welter.

Even by Collazo. The weight on Collazo's shots was a step up.

Then again he was still clinching Castillo alot.

                  Man........
