He is fighting tonight, dont know why he is fighting a guy that lost to Alvarez, the guy that Clottey beat last time out. Arum really hasnt moved Clottey like he should have, Clottey is a bonafide fighter, not as promotable perhaps but should be bigger than what he is.
Why Nobody Talking About Clottey?

Clottey is being kept busy until this summer when he fights for the IBF title that the winner of Margarito-Cintron will vacate. -

He lost to Margaritio and Baldomir, when you lose you go to the bottom of the list, and considering his last fight wasnt impressive, he shouldnt be in the mix with the top guys. Maybe a win over someone like Berto would get him there, but fighting bums on VERSUS and not even making statements isnt going to get him where yall think he should be.Comment

Well think about it. His prized posession is Miguel Cotto, who is in the same division as Clottey.
Clottey is dangerous to anybody and everybody, so you can imagine that Top Rank wants Clottey to capture a different title, but build him towards that title over as long a time period as possibleComment

Clottey is a very good talent, but to me Arum has done a good job for him if you consider:
1) his biggest wins are over Corrales and Alvarez.
2) he has a difficult style that other managers try to avoid
3) he has no fanbase to speak of.Comment

Clottey could scare anyone in the division. That is why he hasn't been able to get a big time fight lately. Cintron decided he'd rather take on Marg.
As far as Clottey's losses go, the Baldomir loss was actually a win, he was winning the fight easily until being DQed. He was cruising with Margarito until he broke his hand and lost a close one.
The guy is this close to being undefeated but he can't get a shot because of the politics of boxing. Maybe Arum is to blame, but not totally.Comment

No fanbase to speak of? I disagree with that. Stylistically, he's not the greatest but hardcore boxing fans recognize his skill and I think root for him. He's pretty well respected imo. Unfortunately, he was never on a reality television program.Comment
