He's incredibly skilled but I think it boils down to focus and dedication. You see it in alot of fighter's like him that have all the natural abilities. They relly on them for so long, they don't dedicate themselves 100% because they're 75% has always been enough.

Against top level fighter's, it never is enough. Zab needs to forget about shiny grills and fancy cars, he needs to be hungry again and I think at this point in his career, it's impossible.

It's none of the things the poll suggests, It's simply his mental makeup. When the going gets tough Zab breaks down mentally......He doesn't have the killer instinct to continue to push forward, He'd rather just fold. I have to admit tho he showed alot of guts against Cotto and could have won that fight if he had a little more mental toughness.

I think ring smarts is kind of like focus. You can't have ring smarts and not be focussed.. I'd like to hear from the person who picked fight selection as his problem. That's kind of odd!

I like this comment about 75% and 100%. I think Taylor suffered from this to some degree as well. It appears though that Taylor has a decent team behind him, and the humility to realize and admit when something isn't getting the job done.

Ring Smarts is knowing what to do, how to move, which direction...

Focus is to KEEP UP the ring smarts.. and dont stop doing what you were doing...

I definitely dont think ring smarts and focus are the same at all...

Zab definitely lacks discipline too but i guess that would teeter into the arena of focus. I picked ring smarts but am leaning toward ree****yalus on this one

Whatever the case he definitely needs a better head in the ring but.. question.. Even if he gets that focus. He does appear to gas out. No amount of focus is going to fix Zab if he runs out of gas. There may be no single quick fix for Zab other than reworking his entire foundation as a fighter.

For the purposes of this thread lets assign discipline to ring smarts.

If we all work together.. we can get Zab Judah back on top so he can afford to purchase all the finest grills and rims.
