Ricky hatton is a *****. He got his ass exposed against collazo and KTFO by floyd. He wants mayweather again but does anybody think he can even go 12 rds with cotto? It might b a helluva fight.

No, that may be what he says, but what he really wants is the big payday that fighting Hatton would bring. He's also motivated by jealousy - he wants the British fans to love him the way they love Hatton.

Junior Witter has been talking about Hatton so long that people have finally started listening to him! I mean I remember him calling out Hatton from WAY back and people thinking he was an absolute joker.

As to whether he deserves the shot or not, its hard to say. I think I come down on the side that says that Witter hasn't really done anything to merit it. He's never really beaten anyone particularly impressive, whereas Hatton managed to make himself (at the time) into the most credible contender to beat Mayweather! A bit of a difference!

Still, I don't see any real reason why NOT to have the fight. WBC v WBO, both British, its definitely a live prospect. I might even say Witter deserves the exposure (if not neccessarily a shot at Hatton). I mean he is almost TOTALLY unknown in the UK. Fighters like Froch and Macarinelli have more profile.

As for Hatton - Mayweather 2, I can hardly bear to say it, but I could imagine Mayweather taking Hatton in 1 round if he really wanted to take the risk of going for it. I love Ricky Hatton, but when Floyd allowed himself to open up in the first fight, it was clear he had too much power, speed and all round excellence for Ricky. Not to say that would actually happen, but Floyd was better no doubt. I wish it was different!

The constant barrage of negativity and disrespect that Junior Witter directs toward Hatton goes far beyond trash talking. It seems like Witter's whole life centers around his jealousy of Ricky.

If I were Hatton, I would never, never give Junior the big payday he wants.

If Witter ever beat Ricky Hatton, the humiliation that would ensue would be an insurmountable roadblock to respect for Hatton. It would be a career killer.
