Look at Floyd's PPV numbers post Oscar, post Dancing with the stars, post WWE. 2.2 Million with Oscar, 1.9 Million with Hatton.

He's averaging 2 Million PPVs world wide in his last 2 fights. Go ahead, call it coincidence.
LOL, yeah, as if 1.1million brits bought the ppv JUST to see Floyd! Im sure it had absolutely nothing to do with thier fellow countryman Ricky Hatton.

the funny thing is that he mentions 1.9 million total.. but the fight did less then DLH v. Mayorga in the United States.

It was the biggest fight in boxing that could of been made at the time, and Floyd was without a doubt the second half of that equation. No one else in the sport could of replaced Floyd and did those type of numbers.
iF OSCAR AND TITO WERE TO HAVE THEIR REMATCH BEFORE TITO FOUGHT RJJ THEIR #'S WOULD HAVE.

1.1M brits bought the PPV because it was their chance of having their fellow countryman tackle the best boxer on the planet, and their chance to see their boy atop the boxing world.

Otherwise the fight never would of done about 600% more than Hatton's previous UK PPVs? lol give me a break.

I totally agree with your first paragraph. They tuned in to see if Ricky Hatton can pull of the upset. How many Brits bought Floyd/Baldomir, or Floyd/Oscar?

Why should he have to wait for Cotto to build a bigger fanbase, and raise his ppv drawing power in order for Floyd to fight him? Floyd stated that he pulled in 3.5million ppv's last year "all alone". If that's the case, he can easily pull in 1million buys fighting Cotto. No?
you must not have seen floyd's ppv against gatti or better yet against baldi you guys crack me up. did you know that floyd's ppv against baldi (a guy no one knew, never even been on a ppv or even ever headlined a card before) did more ppv buys then cotto vs judah, cotto vs mosley. Cotto fought two household names that have done great in ppv buys. yet when they fight cotto they are just ok numbers and no where near floyd's numbers against a nobody(baldi). lol if floyd isnt a big draw how did that happen?????????????????????? Floyd has become a major draw!!!! if you cant see that then take your hater glasses off.

You're completely missing the point aren't you?

It's not Floyd's persona or name that made his fight sell in the UK. It was the fact that he's boxing's best. People were praying for the upset. Does that not count as draw power anymore? Obviously it does, otherwise Hatton never would of QUADRUPLED his previous PPV high.

This all came at the right time, when boxing was in a slump. Boxing fans were desperate for a MEGAFIGHT. This was labled as "The fight to save boxing" LOL...yeah ok.

Compare Oscar's "typical" ppv number of 900k-1.1m to that of Floyd's 300-380k.
your making yourself look ******!!!!! 24/7 was all floyd. HBO didnt cover oscar that much. HBO knew that it was floyd that had the better tv character, better charisma and the better trash talking. hbo used 24/7 to showcase floyd mayweather and what goes on in his life so if your crediting the ppv to 24/7 then your crediting floyd mayweather.
