Pavlik-Joe C would be a better action fight if Joe beats Hopkins than a fight with Winky would, but I still would like to see he and Winky fight. If Wright has it in him to be up for 1 more big fight this is the one and I'd pick him to win it close. But we'll see if Joe loses to B-Hop, or if he wins but needs time to recover how it all turns out. Wright and Joe are both fights Pavlik could win or lose closely.

I don't want Calzaghe-Pavlik. Joe would look spectacular, but it's not a fair match at this point. And they are as of now two weight classes apart. It would be similar to Hopkins fighting De La Hoya.

Pavlik should just fight them both, nobody can argue that his resume dont need more world class fighters on it. And Gary Lockette isnt helping him in that department. IMO he gots more to lose by fighting Lockette, if he loses to Winky or Calzaghe it's forgivable, now if he loses to Lockette??

Pavlik is too big and strong for Winky, he would outwork Winky, penetrate through his defence and hurt him bad...This is a nightmare matchup for Winky Wright.

I like Winky in this fight all day long. I think that he will handle Pavlik. I think that his shell defense would be effective and that he would touch Pavlik alot. Pavlik does the power advantage, but I can't remember the last time I've seen Winky hurt from a FLUSH shot through his guards. I think it needs to happen after Pav disposes of the guy he has to fight next. Best fight at MW by far.

it's a breather/tuneup fight. If he doesn't fight Locket, it will be some other mediocre fighter. Pavlik will not be fighting superstars back to back to back his entire career. All fighters take their foot of the pedal from time to time, it's neccessary for performing at a high level.
