Nate can make up any excuse he wants. Fact is he would get beat by JMM. Marquez might even crack that chin of his, but he will definitely outbox him.

Someone needs to start a Juan Manuel Marquez appreciation thread. This guy still doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's easily one of my favorite boxers. ALRIGHT, I'LL DO IT!

There's nothing wrong with the decisions. Decision can go either way. It's just unfortunate of JMM judges did not convince his counter punching style.

              JMO:

              1. JMM really is too small to truly take the full-power punches at 135. Although
the shifty little bugger would avoid many such punches (as he indeed did
vs. Pac) JMM would probably eat one or more KDs from the likes of Campbell.

              2. JMM would just as probably get up after each KD and give Campbell a
trickier fight than the latter expects.

              3. JMM will inevitably blame the judges again, because he does fight for
the decision win. Only in JMM's dream world would ALL decisions, particularly
close ones, go his way each and every time.

              4. "Making excuses" usually means blaming yourself or others in your camp,
like "I wore the wrong socks" or some other gay-ass bull****. However,
accusing both the relevant boxing organization and the Pacquiao camp
of collusion in rigging the fight is what Nacho and JMM were alleging.
And why? Because a close fight inexplicably produced a close SD?
              LOL....

              5. To anyone who denies it WAS a close fight, try this quaint angle:
Even before the "disappointing" decision was announced,
JMM was brusquely refusing his opponent's proffered congratulations
              on a fight well-fought:

JMM was quite angry even before the decision was announced. Why?
Pac was quite obviously surprised to hear the decision. Why?
Neither of them thought they had done enough to win.

JMM's and Pac's uncolored, pre-decision perceptions of who won or lost
were of no value scorecard-wise, but they're there for you to enjoy,
just like your own DIY scorecards.

I hope JMM gets his **** together and moves up in weight to fight Nate.
JMM ought to bring his A+ game, because otherwise, Campbell will win
by decision. Heck, a Nate win by KO isn't too farfetched.

Marquez was small at 130, he wouldn't be able to compete with natural lightweights. Think about it, what other featherweights could compete with lightweights? Henry Armstrong?

Also, you can't compare the skills of Pacquiao to that of Campbell's. They are two different fighters, one is a slugger and the other is an awkward counterpuncher.

who do you think would have the advantage? Against Diaz, Campbell seemed somewhat slow and telegraphed his punches. I dont know if that was the game plan or not but Manny has pretty unpredictable movement. Would Campbell be able to keep up with Manny?

Campbell didn't fight his fight against Diaz. He was lingering on the inside and trying to take Diaz out of the fight mentally by taking it to him. His fight is to get in the James Toney stance and pick people off with right hands and go to the body.

It's hard to give either guy an advantage because you can't measure the intangibles both guys have. Campbell is a tough-minded guy who has the technical advantages, whereas Pacquiao has better physical attributes. Campbell is at his perfect weight at lightweight, similar to what Hopkins was at 160. He's comfortable at that weight where Pacquiao is moving up to fight the biggest guys he's ever fought. Tough to say, after the David Diaz fight I'll know better. Campbell actually thinks Diaz has a much better shot than people give him.
