Yes he was. Did you follow boxing back then???? Nobody even thought about Hopkins. Everybody was looking forward to the great Tito Trinidad to win the middleweight tournament and move up and fight Roy Jones and Booooom!!! The Executioner ended all of that.Comment

Hopkins was a big underdog against Trinidad if i rememebr correctly.Comment

I think you're the one who is gonna get shocked. Joe slapping around all those bums for years in Whales has your thought process all ****ed up. You better not say things like "Hopkins has no chance" because you're in for a shock.
It will be competitive and Hopkins will win it by some kind of a close decision. I look forward to you Calzaghe fans crying robber afterwards........I will be LMAO.Comment

I, for one, won't be overly disappointed if Bhop loses. Though I will be pulling for him. I find if funny how fast you euros are to dismiss Hopkins, and give him no chance. You could just as easily find yourself the one being "disappointed." There's absolutely no ****ing way he doesn't, at a bare minimum, make this the most competitive fight of JoeCal's career. To say he "doesn't stand a chance" is ******.Comment

why are people saying that hopkins has no chance thats just plain ****** fella!
no one is a bigger calzaghe fan than me i love his fights his style and i think that he is ARGUABLY the no.1 p4p champion.
hopkins however is a cleverer fighter than joe has ever faced before - he like joe is also extremely adpatable and is the naturally bigger and stronger man
in fact i can see him man handling joe calzaghe for the first couple of rounds and maybe winning the first 4/6 rounds after that i expect joe to overcome him but i still think that alot of ppl aren't giving hopkins the credit he deserves
