I'm American. Iit pains me to pick a foreigner but Calzaghe has the goods and he is going to handle Hopkins. Hopkins record isn't the greatest and at 36 Hopkins was fighting Keith HOlmes before you jump on Calzaghe. I've watched Calzaghe on Showtime for yrs and he fights like an American. He actually spars in the gym. Only concern is the new venue

Joe Calzaghe: "I Will Hurt Bernard Hopkins"

Hopkins is hoping his game plan works cause if it does'nt he will not walk Calzaghe down chasing the fight if he falls behind he let Jermain Tayler take his titles twice because he was reluctant to defend them ,its debatable wether Oscar was pinching the fight before Hopkins landed that body shot aswell
Hopkins will take a few rounds to have a look at Calzaghe like he usually does then try to assert himself in the second half of the fight when his 43 year old body maybe be able to fight for the last 6 rounds instead of the full 12 ,but by that time he may have conceded to many rounds or his game plan want work when he decides to employ it thus giving Zag a clear cut decision
If Calzaghe walks Hopkins down it will be a mistake that is where Winky Lost the fight IMO,ive never seen Winky as charged up and aggressive as he was that night and it cost him the fight IMO
the press conference slap or the negativity surrounding the fight made Winky fight the wrong fight

Neither of them are getting knocked out! FFS. The last person to get knocked out by Hops was little Oscar. Before that, Joe Lipsey in 1996! Before that? Eric Rhinehart in 1992!
Calzaghe hasn't knocked anyone down since Jeff Lacy, a fight that should have ended in stoppage. His last "proper" KO was Hughes in 1997!
These guys are not KO artists, TKO artists maybe, and they both have ******ly tough chins.

I cant say that i have followed Calzaghe for a long time ( Or any Limey Fighter ) But i know a huge amount of People started believing in Calzaghe after the Lacy fight which he dominated . fast forward to the Mayweather v Hatton undercard where the Same Left Hook lacy was in my opinion Owned by someone who starred on the contender ( Manfredo) . Could it be that Calzaghe might be walking with a false sense of security.
