In a post fight interview Molitor said that he will take a little bit of time out of the gym, and then have one more volentery defence then he wants to take on the other champs. Molitor wins against Ponce De Leon by easy decision IMO, Vasquez would be a war, and Molitors power is improving and he can stop good fighters in their tracks. Beltran has a granite chin, and got stopped in his tracks from the left hands, I see the same happening to anyother top fighter.

Yes, what he needs is a familiar name like Caballero on his resume. Ponce would be another good choice.

Tell Michael Hunter that Molitor lacks power, I dont think he will beleive you.

Molitor looked good tonight I hear, and I have seen him a few times before.

I think his fights against the top guys go a little like this:

          Molitor UD12 Caballero
          Molitor UD12 Ponce de Leon
          Vasquez KO11 Molitor
          Marquez KO8 Molitor

He was rocked badly enough by Fashan 3k Battery and cut pretty bad against Castillo (and Beltran aswell I hear) so I think both Vasquez and Marquez KO him.

Ponce has power, thats all. He has no boxing game, its all one hand. If he catches you, you're in trouble. He has been outboxed before and has not shown any improvemnt in his footwork and still throws wide punches. JJ gonzalez,Vasquez, marquez all beat him. He gets outboxed by Caballero and will get outboxed by Juan Ma when they fight.

Molitor learns to not make the same mistakes twice. He would beat Ponce via once sided UD and Cebelero by slightly closer UD. As it was stated early why dony you tell Hunter that Molitor has no power, or even Ndulovo or Scotty Olsen for that matter. As far as Israel, and Raf, I give him a better chance than most. I hate nuthugers for any fighter, but Molitor has the tools. He is a slick, fast, ilusive fighter with decent power and a solid chin. There is no better outside fighter in the division, and he can hold his own on the inside. If his managment plays their cards right, Steve Molitor will have a couple more alphabet titles in the end of 08.
